CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward. Utilizing a unique Self- Charging solar power system, this sporty analog/digital combination model provides plenty of functionality. A host of features such as 48-city world time, 5 alarms, stopwatch and dual countdown timers make this a versatile timepiece for almost any sport outing. • A great, rugged watch for the price
This is a great watch for a few reasons: first of all it's solar. If you're like me, you never bother to get watch batteries replaced when the battery dies and instead just replace the entire watch, so solar watches are a godsend. Secondly, unlike many similar analog solar watches, it is quite light and comfortable. I have two other solar watches. One of them, though built very ruggedly, is also very heavy and uncomfortable. The second one is comfortable, but is very small and dainty and looks like a woman's watch. This Casio looks quite rugged while remaining comfortable and light. My only complaints (thus the 4 stars instead of 5) is that the operation is a bit confusing, even with the manual. Also, you can't see the digital display when the minute hand is covering it, so you can't do things like use the stopwatch or the timer at certain times of day. In addition, the watch is both very large and made of plastic, which can make it look sort of toy-like. Still overall, it's a great watch for the price. For the next few years, I imagine it will be my favorite. ... show more

  • Don't Buy This Watch
At first I liked this watch and then I travelled with it and had to re-set the time to another time zone. It was all down hill from there. The watch is badly designed. It has bot hands and a digital text box (at the bottom of the screen) to indicate time. Whenever the hands are in the 6:30 range the digital time (stop watch, etc.) is blocked. Worst of all is the convoluted process for resetting the hands to the digital time when the two do not agree. The instructions are poorly written but following them does not fix the problem. Even the instructions indicate that when the watch hands are misaligned taking the described action will cause the hands to revolve a certain number of revolutions (say, 9) and it will not be possible to stop them On my watch it went both backward and forward without ever stopping anywhere near the (correct) digital time. Additionally, the digital box is tiny and hard to read and requires ridiculously excessive pushes of poorly labeled buttons to use the features of the phone. It is also poorly lighted by a button set up for that. And do read the fine print about the so-called water resistant features of the watch in the instructions. It is much more limited than the marketing suggests. This watch is a good idea, badly executed. I would never buy another Cascio product based on this experience. ... show more

  • Perfect For the Price
This is my 4th digital watch. I love them because of their versatility and practicability. The previous one was a Timex which I loved and had to discard because its strap broke (after using for 8 years) and I don't find a replacement. Pros: 1. Solar Powered. Or that's what they say !! Never having to worry about changing batteries. That has to be a winner right there. Couldn't get that better. No other good reason to break open the original casing if battery change not required. 2. Water resistant. They say good for 100 m. The only time I might be in water is while swimming. That works for me. 3. Lightweight. Strap is light too. 4. Several Timezones. Very handy as I travel international crossing timezones. Cons: Not many. 1. Strap hurt me a little. I am not wearing it too tight either. But it could be just me. 2. The analog hands are slightly off. Ever so slightly that I misread time. I am careful now. Wish the hands were 1 mm longer. Nothing else wrong I think! So far it has been working as expected and if continues so, 10 out of 10! ... show more

  • Funny Functional
Great functional watch. I love that it's solar powered and has both an analog face as well as an option for digital on the bottom. My ONLY gripe with this watch is that the digital portion shows one of three things: 1) time, 2) day of the week, 3) month-day...each of those 3 options includes seconds right after. It's not a huge problem, just a tiny nuisance for when you have one of the above three things showing, but need to see another one, and therefore have to free your hand to cycle through them. Other than that, I love this watch. Very functional and even cool looking. ... show more

  • Excellent watch
I brought this watch for swimming. It has a nice look to it comfy to wear easy to use and program. Wasn’t expecting much from a lower priced Casio watch so I was pleasantly surprised at the functionality ease of use . It’s solar powered so I’m expecting not to have to change the seal like you normally would when you change batteries in a watch. One of the advantages to having a solar powered watch no batteries to change. So far it’s been waterproof no moisture of any sort when I go swimming. I wear it more often than I originally intended cause it’s so well designed and looks cool. It has a hourly chime That you can easily turn on and off which I love . I was looking to spend 150 bucks or so on a g shock solar powered watch but this was a excellent substitute. Definitely worth the price excellent value!! ... show more

  • Great watch
The media could not be loaded. I’m very happy with my watch. It’s very , actually extremely light and feels like it could take a massive beating. Most importantly fact why I love this watch most is that it’s actually glass face. Which most affordable Casio watches are plastic. So this is an extra feature for me. It feels good and it’s not too small being that I’m a big guy with monster wrist. I highly recommend this if your looking for a affordable Casio that fits very comfortable and doesn’t hurt the pockets to much at all. ... show more
