I’m a big fan of Casio diver’s watches but would always have to ship them away to the service center for battery replacement. It was the only way to keep them waterproof because only the service center replaces the seal (not jewelers). Fast forward 20 years and finally Casio put out a stainless steel diver’s watch but now with Tough Solar. This watch is great. Simple and classic. I got the watch a couple of weeks ago, so durability?? Not at this time. Accurate. so far it’s exactly as set. Time will tell! (Sorry about that) comfort? Yes, I’ve had plastic straps before and never rated them at all for use except that they cracked and fell apart within a short life span. But this strap is of a different ‘plastic,’ more of a rubbery material. Softer and much, much more comfortable. The only drawback for me is it needs a button to give a few seconds of dial ligh in the small hours of the night, After the luminosity has wound down. That would make this one brilliant watch.     • Fantastic-looking watch -- Love the solar component!
I am impressed by this watch -- very impressed. It looks like a million bucks, it fits the wrist perfectly (snug, but not too tight; it doesn't sag to the side or jostle around with the arm's movement); and the size is ideal -- substantial but not huge. The face is very contrasty, making the markings "jump out" at a quick glance., so as to be quite easy to read. The controls (all from the crown) are simple and logical. I particularly love the solar aspect of the watch...ever been on a trip and had your watch battery die on you? It'll never happen with this one. Casio builds watches to last and to endure anything you throw at it, so I expect this will be a durable item. And the watch looks far more expensive than it is. Great watch. I am thrilled to have it. This Casio MTP-S110 solar watch is a great looking watch. It features both day and date which is great. Most solar watches in this style such as Seiko only feature the date and cost double the price. The time is easy to read. In addition to the 12 hour markers it also has the 24 hours marked as well. The glowing markers and hands are easily visible at night. The bezel is fixed and does nothing rotate. This was actually better for me so I don’t have to keep adjusting the bezel. I’ve had some Seiko watches where I had to constantly adjust the bezel because it would turn when I brushed up against it. The back is marked cased in China. The band is not oem Casino. The buckle is stamped made in China. There is definitely a difference in look and feel compared to OEM bands. This band feels more flimsy with a matte texture. I plan to buy an OEM one to replace it. The two step knob feels smooth while adjusting the day, date, and time. I plan to use it for travel as it has all the features that are important to me. The best part about it is the price. For under $100 I don’t have to worry about it when I travel. Based on the features and price I highly recommend this watch. ... show more

Firstly, it’s a Solar watch and would not need battery replacement for a long long time. The watch itself is beautiful to look at, the black and white dial is very nice, and the watch keeps time very accurately. I would highly recommended it
