  • Awesome Watch!
I wanted a watch that I could wear at work (I’m a forester so I’m in the woods quite bit) that would be durable (I tend to beat things up) and somewhat classy at the same time. This is that watch. I’m sure this look isn’t for everyone but I love it! It felt a little on the large side at first but after the first week of wearing it I wasn’t bothered by its size at all. I like the weight of it. It’s lighter than I’m used to (steel bracelet Invicta) but it still definitely feels well built. It does sit fairly high which can cause it to catch on things quite easily. I’ve personally caught it on a few door frames (a little careless on my part, I know) which has scuffed it up some without any serious damage. I love the color scheme and find it very easy to read in most situations. The LCD screens do get hard to read in low light and (as others have pointed out) the watch light does not help much to see them. However, the watch hands are easily seen in low light and the watch light provides plenty of light to see them in the dark. Since I use this mostly to tell the time I am more than happy. As far as durability it’s a little early to tell. Though, as I said, I have smacked it on a few door frames with no ill effect. Overall, I love this watch. It’s exactly what I was looking for. It seems very well built and it looks fantastic! I will update with any issues. 8/19/2015 Wore the watch through a county office building metal detector. I know sensitivities on those things vary so I'm not sure if this will be universal or not. 9/12/2015 Still love the watch. The one small annoyance I've found is that every once in a while the screws holding the case back on pull an arm hair or two. It doesn't happen all that often (a few times a month maybe) and it has not negatively affected my opinion of the watch. ... show more

  • Can't go wrong with this watch
This is a second G-Shock that I own, and, as with the first one, I like it a lot and even more. My first G is AWG-M100, a watch with a smaller case, so I thought GA-100 would look really huge on my wrist - and it does when worn on the outside (and even then not so huge), but since I wear watches on the inside of the wrist it looks just fine - not big or uncomfortable in any way. Initially I was worried about that, but the moment I put it on it was clear I wasn't going to return it, no way (: The only thing I don't like compared with the AWG is the lack of a solar battery, which means I'll have to replace it in a couple of years. Can live with that, though. And the LED light is as helpless as it is on the AWG - I doubt you can see the info on the displays when it's pitch black around you. But I don't use these functions a lot or switch modes that many times, so just being able to know the time is good enough. All in all, great watch. I don't even doubt the toughness of the case and the mechanism and their ability to withstand any rough conditions - I've already checked that with the AWG, so no worries there. ... show more

  • If G.I. Joe Wears a Watch I'm Pretty Sure it Looks Like This.
Another great looking G-Shock. The watch face has a ton of micro detail that can only be appreciated in the proper light. Unfortunately, the watch can only be read in proper light. In poor lighting conditions the watch face all but disappears. The watch does have an illumination feature but as is the case with many G-Shocks, it's a pretty useless feature. The green digital numbers and face accents are a nice touch. The watch itself is extremely light weight, has a matte-black finish and an oddly smooth feel. The case badging is etched rather than painted on which is cool as you don't have to worry about it fading with heavy use and abuse. Over all I give the 100MB 4 stars instead of 5 because of the visibility issues I mentioned. It's a common complaint with some G-Shock models and in this case the criticism is warranted. That said, it's a nice looking addition to my G-Shock collection and I would definitely buy it again. ... show more

  • EXCELLENT PRODUCT THAT'S WORTH YOUR BUCK!!!
GREAT Product,ESPECIALLY for the Price!!! Saw this same product on another website for $20 more than what I paid on amazon. Works well for me,especially due to the fact that my job requires a lot of physical exercise outdoors in all-weather conditions. Easy to follow instructions on how to set the time, date, time zone etc. Fits well on my wrist and I'm a skinny dude. Only thing some people might have a pet peeve with is the light does not illuminate enough to show the digital lcd,but it doesn't matter to me,cause I know how to read the hands on a watch/clock. It does exactly what it was made to do and more. I would DEFINITELY recommend this watch to anyone who needs a sturdy, yet stylish timepiece for indoor/outdoor activities at a very reasonable price. ... show more

  • Awesome watch if you overlook one glaring issue
This is an awesome watch and I love it. Only complaint I have is that the negative display on the digital clock is really, really hard to read even in the best lighting conditions. You have to angle the watch just right to see the digital display and there are times when the analog hands will block the digital display making it even harder, almost impossible, to read. Outside of that glaring issue it's an outstanding watch. ... show more

  • Great Looking Watch!
This is my second G-Shock watch to purchase in the last couple of months. I bought one in December and loved it so much that I had to have another one in a different color. This is a very stylish and comfortable watch and I love it. It also has great features and is built very sturdy. I know I will have it for a long time. The only issue I have seen is that the LED light is not bright enough to light up the digital numbers at night but it lights up the face well enough for me to read the time on the analog hands so it doesn't bother me. During the day I can read the digital display without any problem. My other G-Shock is the same way but I still love them both. ... show more
