  • Best technical book I have ever read.
Awesome book and well worth the money. I can't thank the author enough for sharing his knowledge with this book and videos. I'm a homeowner with previous automotive A/C experience and EPA cert. I was able to figure out why one evaporator was freezing up on one of my two HVAC systems and got it fixed. Identified what type of metering device my system has and what was going on with it. Learned that it was a piston type and how to check the charge by superheat. I evacuated the system, fixed the blocked orifice, pulled a vacuum, recharged the system and checked for leaks. Both my units are 2.5 ton R22 so I doubt anyone would even want to service them and just try to sell me a new system. With the help of this book, I saved thousands of dollars. System is now working great. After reading this book, I am confident that I could replace the entire system by myself. ... show more
