Great watch! So functional and pretty much indestructible/durable. This is a great work or beater watch, and I like how it is solar as well. The watch and it's size looks great on the wrist. It is water resistant, has world time with multiple time zone functions, a stopwatch, 5 alarms, and a countdown timer feature. Tells great and exact time since it is updated each night via radio signal. I love this model since it is dark/stealth type of look, which I was going for. I am able to distinguish the time easily indoors and in the sun, but if you never have had a watch that displays time as a dark or negative display, this watch is NOT for you. Since this watch is solar, it must be worn regularly or charged in the light regularly to ensure it continues to function well. Something cool is that this model has a feature to display the backlight for 1.5, 3, or 5 seconds when pushing the button. In addition, this model watch also has a feature to automatically display the backlight when you lift your wrist, eliminating the need for you to push the backlight button each time you want to look at it in the dark. Downs: - Should have used Black PVD instead of chrome components. - Watch face is too small, feels feminine. - Uses mineral glass instead of sapphire. - Not super visible because of the solar panel, but not bad enough for me to return. Ups: - Accurate and no-nonsense. - Blacked out look matches my vehicle. - The 3495 module has a tilt-to-activate backlight that activates at about a 45 degree angle in low light conditions. - Mobile apps exist to sync with NTP when MB6 radio isn’t detected. - No Bluetooth crap - most watches use older Bluetooth modules and protocols which are unacceptable in a cybersecurity or other security sensitive profession. - Shows seconds, day, month, and week day. ... show more

    • WHat the hell has happened to G shock watches?
I am not sure when this happened, but, somehow the vast majority of the common tough g shock watches turned into a lady's watch regarding its size and appearance. I am a larger dude and i have been looking for a new g shock as i have been wearing them for over 25 years. It was a great and tough watch that fit a large man well. I was recently in the g shock store in SOHO and every watch i tried on looked like a lady's watch on my wrist. The sales person was very honest (very appreciated but also very rare in today's world) and told me that they have been getting a lot of complaints about this very thing. The bands used to be full, wide and contour the wrist. Now, they are small, thin, and tapper. G shock is so worried about all of these new roll outs and forgot what they are supposed to be about,. It is a real pity what these watches have become. Well, i guess i am now a Garmin guy. Hopefully G shock will smarten up and go back to what they used to do really well by making BIG STRONG watches. ... show more

Great watch very tough and has all the functions you want, the screen is cool and easy to read, there where some reviews complaining about being able to see the screen but I think that’s a personal eye problem lol

Awesome except it’s true that it’s difficult to read due to the reverse black face. Not good if you always have to put on the spectacles, squint and make sure it’s at a perfect angle & out of the sun just to glance at the time.
