I just received my mudman yesterday and even though Ive never seen this special edition, it was love at first site. I considered the standard GW-9500 but it seemed to be missing something but this one has fixed those concerns and I couldn't be happier with it. I own 2 GW9400s, 1 King, and 2 GWG-1000 mudmasters and this is up there with my favorites. It is more comfortable than my mudmaster, more rugged than my Rangemans, and higher quality than I expected. It is not as functional or convenient as my rangemen due to the stop watch but this will be getting alot of wrist time. ... show more

UPDATE 2026-02-06 After wearing this watch everyday for over a year, I wanted to add some more details of my experience and wishes. 1) I still wish this watch had MIP for a clearer reading. 2) One biggest wish is for there be a sapphire display edition. 3) After wearing this for over a year every day, my mineral glass display got over a dozen scratches. Scratches bring a charm to Gshocks but still wish it the glass would scratch so much. 4) The keeper needs to stay in place better. There is no keeper friction so it slides all the way down. I needed to add an extra keeper in order to prevent extra long slack. 5) The buckle is too wide, I prefer the thinner ones. 6) I love bulky watches but sometimes this gets caught when my arm is reaching into a tighter spot when I’m working on my IT jobs. 7) Radio time receiver is weaker than some others. Still a wonderful gshock and I still love it. Will continue wearing it everyday and abuse it when possible. For these 7 reasons, I’m dropping 1-star, from 5-star to 4-star. ... show more

The watch is a great size, not too big and very comfortable on the wrist. The face of the watch is very legible and all of the menus are easy to navigate. Very fast shipping from Osaka Japan and the watch arrived in perfect condition! If you’re on the fence just go for it!
