Carry on the G-SHOCK legacy - go traditional with the original dial colors of the DW5000C, the very first G-SHOCK, now in a full-metal watch. The classic G-SHOCK colors are on full display with faithful reproductions of G-SHOCK red, representing the passion to take on challenges; blue, symbolizing excellent water resistance; and yellow, signifying outstanding shock resistance. Crafting a stainless-steel bezel of this depth and dimension requires a time- consuming forging, cutting, and polishing process. The bezel top is finished beautifully with a hairline treatment and the beveled edges with a mirror finish for maximum textural beauty. Achieving a full-metal timepiece with the same original G-SHOCK shock-resistant structure is no easy feat. We installed buffering components made of fine resin between the stainless-steel bezel and case and employed a three-pronged lug for the band connection to disperse shocks to the connecting pipes. The stainless-steel case also features the same screw-lock construction as the original to ensure a tight seal. Dimpling applied to metal band pieces reproduces the look of the resin band design of the very first G-SHOCK. And the fact that the watch is crafted at Yamagata Casio, the "mother factory" where the first-ever G-SHOCK was made, brings the whole design full circle.Case size (L? W? Next to the MrG line this is the best gshock square you can get. This isn't Grandpa's square. It's massive, blocky and shiny. A real man's watch. It can link with your phone to update the time or it can receive radio signals from b transmitter around the world to keep perfect time. You can adjust all the watch settings on the phone app. If you can't find your phone you can hold a button on your watch and it will play a tune on your phone to find it. You can set reminders and has a world time function to track another timezone. The watch head is super shiny and the band is brushed with shiny bits that make it look like the whole this is polished when you look at it. I like the OG red trim around the face because it reminds me of my childhood watch though I don't know if that garners an extra $50 over the monochrome version. It has a wonderful STN display that is legible from all angles with a blue full backlight. The downside is that the thing is a scratch magnet. It's a gshock so it's hard to kill but scratches are a way of life. ... show more

This is a really great watch. It feels premium on the wrist. The STN-LCD display is great at any angle. The bracelet was easy to adjust as the pins are actually spring bars so even me, with no watch know how, could adjust the bracelet in about 10 minutes. The classic G-Shock colors are simply perfect.
