  • Great for Home Office
The Casio DJ-120D has large concave keys which are easy to use. It is physically large enough for office or home use but not so large as to take up excessive desk space. It does not require an AC connection so it is easily moved from one location to another on your desk. The battery has a life expectancy of 3 years and is backed up by solar power. I especially like the step check and correct function and the ability to control decimal placement and numeric display formats. These functions replace the need for a calculator with print capability in 95% of the situations encountered in a home or small office. At a price of under $16 you can't go wrong with this impressive Casio calculator. ... show more

  • Works as expected.
Works as expected. Love the large display. Not crazy about the "000" button, kind of wasted and unnecessary. Love that it has the solar cell as well as a battery so it works in a dimly lit office where my solar only calculator sometimes failed.

  • Simple calculator but it does the job.
Easy to read and touch keys. Quick and reliable answers.

  • It's a Casio
Solidly built. Good key action. Affordable. Solar power as well. Auto feature helps review multiple calculations.

  • Does what I need and much more.
It's the "Much more" part that got it only 3 stars for easy to use. I just wanted something to add, subtract, multiply and divide. I don't need to keep track of my last 150 transactions and that's honestly kind of a pain. Auto Review and Correct features certainly adds to the functionality, but again - add, subtract, multiply and divide. My fault, there are probably more basic calculators that I could have selected, and honestly this probably is what is now deemed a basic calculator - no scientific etc. Not a really steep learning curve. I just didn't particularly want any learning curve. ... show more

  • Works as advertised, but 0 key placement under the (C) Clear key is non-standard
Doesn't sound like much, but NOT having the 0 (Zero) key under the 1 key like most tape calculators makes this difficult to use. I find I often hit the 00 key instead of 0 due to the location. Really have little use for the 000 key, better that be the 00 key like most older real tape machines and put the ) under the 1. Do it wrong a few times and see what I mean. Otherwise the 'check steps' keys work OK but also need time getting use to, and much slower than scanning a tape. Using an app on an iPad with paperless tape functions is still best I have seen since you can still see all entries at once without paper. Otherwise for long complex calculations a paper tape is still much better, unfortunately. ... show more

  • Cut The Cord And The Bulk Of Your Adding Machine
Works great for my purposes. I'm an accountant, so I use this calculator pretty hard and I've had no issues over the past 7 months. I think the layout of the keys is pretty standard but I was accustom to having the subtraction key above the addition key, so there has been a bit of a leaning curve for me with this layout. The "150 Step Check" feature is really nice to have. I use spreadsheets for really long or complicated calculations but I have used the Step Check feature to check my input on occasion. For those that still use an adding machine with printer, cut the cord and the bulk and get this thing. EDIT: For those that say the comma is in the wrong place, that is a setting that you can change. Hold down the "DISP" button until "SET" is displayed, then use the up and down arrows to scroll through whatever comma format you want. Simply pressing the "DISP" button will also toggle between two different formats. I imagine some people are accidentally hitting the "DISP" button and don't know why the commas have changed. 4/26/23 UPDATE: I’ve been using this calculator 5 days per week for just over 10 years now and it’s still going strong. Works like new and has not let me down. ... show more
