  • Classic watch with retro Casio features
Color: Silver
Casio was the digital watch in the 70s and 80s. Even these days it is very popular due to it's retro look, reliability, price, etc. This watch combines an analog face with the digital watch features of the pure digital watch. It's a great choice for anyone who wants both and despite the analog face, it still keeps that Casio look. ... show more

  • You’ve been looking at it, go ahead and get it.
Color: Silver
It’s a tremendous watch. It looks stellar. It’s inexpensive. I’ve had at least 5 conversations about it in the past couple months since buying it. Couldn’t ask for a better conversation piece for this price point. Only downside is the acrylic crystal will scratch, but that’s to be expected at this price point and you can buff it out if needed. ... show more

  • A more formal but still inexpensive Casio - needs a light
Color: Silver
I almost rated this a 3 instead of 4. It really should have a light. But, it would still be difficult to read the LCD display as it is very small. I have several inexpensive digital and analog Casios, a Citizen ECO drive rockin' a NATO strap (great watch) as well as a Bulova (gold hands on white face that I can't read without glasses so it stays in the box). Once in while a watch with a more formal appearance is warranted and I got this purely to have a "dress" watch with digital capabilities. Part of that capability should be a light but oh well. Other than that shortcoming this is a very decent watch. The silver hands and markers on the black face are readable for the most part to my late 50's eyes. The digital display below them is not readable for me without glasses. But I can't read the date on most digital watches nor the date window on most analogs so, not complaining too much about that. However it does have dual time, alarm, date and stopwatch. I wish the gold version of this watch was available with a dark face, I would have preferred that but, this a very handsome watch for the price. It is a resin body so, I would expect over time the chrome with wear off but, for the price that's ok. It doesn't look like resin it looks like polished metal. I would prefer a light and slightly better water resistance but it is what it is. Size wise this is a small thin watch that is designed to slide under a shirt sleeve without catching. It is the size dress watches used to be. Just large enough to read without getting in the way of anything. This watch does pack a lot of features into a minimalist package. Haven't tried it but, I suspect this watch could be paired with a thin leather band as well ... show more

  • A nice piece of kit
Color: Silver
The watch itself is beautifully slim, simple and lightweight. Appearancewise, I can only really fault the chromium/resin case around the face; it looks a little plasticy compared with the matt finish of the wrist band. However, this is just personal preference. For a relatively small watch, it maintains it's manly appearance well. The wrist band has an elegant locking traveller system that fits even my skinny wrists easily. I expect it would fit thicker wrists to if required. As for longevity, my father has had one of these for years and never had a problem with it. It has even maintained it's water resistance despite having it's battery replaced. The only damage it has sustained is a few scratches to the face, a fate that would have befallen any watch under the same conditions. The watch emits a barely audible tick, which you can only hear with your ear almost pressed to the case. In stark contrast, the alarm is nice and loud, if a little high pitched. Over all, if your looking for a lightweight, cheap, reliable, slim and elegant man's watch, this is the watch for you. ... show more

  • Casio is timeless
Color: Silver
These watches are awesome and this price they make great gifts, I gave my grandson one who is only 7 years old. Thinking it would not last him very long, he has had the watch for a year now, never leaves his wrist, it’s scratched and beat up and still keeping perfect time, he ask for a new so without hesitation I ordered it and just like clockwork it arrived as agreed. Great product great seller. ... show more

  • Caveat emptor! Vendor "Mr Watch" is Toxic
Color: Silver
Vendor "Mr Watch" withheld until after I purchased the watch the information that the user should have the battery changed only by a vendor or jeweler. My previous Casio watch lasted 20+ years, and its battery was changed at least 5 times. Only once was it changed by a vendor, who charged $5 for the service. If I had paid $5 every time the battery was changed, I would have spent more on battery changes than on the original watch purchase. Therefore, I planned to change the battery on the new watch myself, and I would never have bought this watch if the vendor had not withheld the information that the battery should be changed only by a vendor or jeweler: "We ["Mr Watch"] do recommend taking the watch to a local jeweler to have the battery replaced, as if the watch is damaged while you are replacing the battery, you will not be able to return this for a refund or a replacement." Furthermore, I learned only after the purchase that the vendor retains the shipping charges ($6.95) under the vendor's so-called refund policy: "Returned items must meet three simple requirements: 1. Products are not eligible for return if they have been worn, used, adjusted, or sized. 2. Any defects need to be reported to us within 10 days of receipt of the item to avoid the warranty process. 3. The original manufacturer packaging and materials must be returned in their original condition. "On the front of your packing slip there should be return instructions that you can follow in order to return the watch. For all domestic orders, on the back of your packing slip is a prepaid return address label that you can use to send the product back to us. If you choose to use this label, there will be a $6.95 fee deducted from your refund. Also, per our return policy, if you received free shipping on your original order there will be a flat $5.00 deducted from your refund." "Please note that in accordance with our return policy that shipping fees are non-refundable." In other words, I, the deceived buyer, was supposed to pay for returning an item I would never have ordered if the deceptive vendor had not withheld key information about battery-changing. I contacted Amazon about this matter and was given a full refund by Amazon. Peripherally: the band is a dud. Locking it so that it will not fall off the wrist is not possible. It is treacherous. It gives the appearance of being securely clasped but isn't; instead, it slides off as surreptitiously as a loose lizard. Moreover, even when it is firmly clasped, any degree of play in the band will allow it to undo itself -- and Casio recommends that its watches be worn loosely enough to permit a finger to pass between the band and the arm, so resting the hand in one's lap, for example, is enough to buckle the band and loosen the clasp. I could make more angry comments about this experience, but reliving it all just re-swells my spleen, and I've already lost too much time and serenity cursing the vendors and their weasely forebears. I hate the sight of this watch, and I can't even return it because I would be charged a shipping fee for doing so! Maybe I'll give it to someone I don't like... ... show more
