  • Looks great. Very accurate. G-Shock
I really like the way this watch looks. The hands stand out very well against dark background. I like this watch very much. The digital "sub dials" are hard to read without a bright light coming from behind over your shoulder. The analog hands give enough information I need most of the time. Love the atomic accuracy and the G-Shock features. It's unlikely to show any scratches even in hard use. ... show more

  • Handsome and Functional, needs no battery, just light
Handsome G-Shock watch. Bought this for my husband when his other strap broke, so he already liked G-Shock by Casio. It automatically sets the time and date by the atomic clock. This style had a steely-blue rim around the face. It also has three round openings on the face for the Date, Day and Stopwatch. Other facts can be shown is the openings by pushing select buttons on the rim. It's solar so it needs no battery replacement and the date will work until 2099! ... show more

  • Fantastic watch that includes solar recharging & atomic timekeeping
I own many fine watches (I have "issues"), including a Seamaster and Speedmaster. But I always seem to wear my G-Shocks the most, and this is one of my favorites. I also think it's a bargain because it has Tough Solar recharging and also atomic self-adjusting time. It's also not huge and fits my smaller wrists perfectly. It's sleek and modern, but also classy (for a G-Shock anyway). The blue bezel adds a subtle bit of character to it and looks like a blue steel. (Again, very subtle and almost not noticeable.) Of course, it keeps perfect time and it's super comfortable, like all G-Shocks. The small digital screens are difficult to see unless the light falls on them perfectly, but I don't care about that. I don't need to see the day and date whenever I look at the time. Overall, this is a fantastic watch and I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Almost perfect. Almost.
I was really looking forward to getting this watch. A little disappointed. Pros: it’s good looking and has awesome features like solar and atomic timekeeping. Cons: the day, date and second windows are very difficult to read, unless you are in bright lighting. Casio should have made those displays brighter. I saw other reviewers say the same thing but thought, how bad could it be. It’s bad. The back light is a yellowish halogen looking light. A softer white looking LED light would have been a lot better. The yellow overpowers the day, date and second displays so you can forget about using those. Lastly, this watch does not have the auto light feature that some of my other Casio‘s have had. I could have sworn I read in the description that it had that feature. Undecided, whether I am going to keep it or send it back. ... show more

  • great value & looks, minor flaws
I've recently developed a G Shock fetish and have been trying out different models. This one is an incredibly good looking watch with the midnight blue bezel, skeleton hands, black face, and luminous paint on the hour markers and hands (however the glow doesn't last long once in the dark). I wear it all the time and, after initially charging it by direct exposure to the sun, it has retained its charge by incidental exposure throughout the day. I've not had to go to the length of taking it off and setting it next to the window. It's also accurate because it continually updates the time by communicating with a regional time station. Not quite sure how that works but it's cool. The drawbacks are that when I first got the watch, dust and skin flakes were quite visible against the black face and I needed to continually wipe off the crystal to keep it looking sharp; however this issue has resolved over time. Also, the alarm is quiet. If my arm is under the covers I'm not likely to hear the alarm. Taking the watch off at night and placing it next to the bed will project the alarm sound better, but I prefer to wear the watch thru the night. Some reviewers complain about visibility of the digital displays, and indeed they aren't that easy to see, being both small and hard to read against the dark background; however the hands are clearly visible, and the backlight effectively illuminates the hands in the dark. Also, using the backlight doesn't run down the battery as it does with other Casio models because the watch is recharged by solar energy. When I first received the watch I almost returned it because it looked all black--the gunmetal blue changes its appearance under different lighting. But I've come to love and admire this watch. It's not as bulky as the women's GMA-S120MF-7A2CR (the only other G Shock I own so far). It's a tough, reliable, and stylish timepiece. ... show more

  • Great looking Analog Digital Gshock! !
Great looking Analog Digital Gshock Watch, l bought this today at Sam's Club for $95.00. I looked on Amazon first. They wanted $160.00 from another seller. I usually buy all my watches at Amazon.com. .Because you always get the best price and great CUSTOMER service. I Love the looks of this watch, it makes a great casual watch as well as a great watch you can wear with a suit. I Love the blue trim around the crystal of the watch. It has a negative display on the digital numbers. The numbers are hard to see at night because the back light doesn't light the numbers up .Still a great looking Watch. The watch is Solar Atomic Power. I am a Gshock collector. I have over 25 gshock watches including the Rangeman, the King Gxw56-1bjf gshock. I have 2 Mudmans, the Gsteel and way to many to mention. I also have 5 Casio Protrek watches. I've been wearing gshocks for 33years since the first one came out in 1983. If your looking for a nice looking Analog Digital watch. This might be the watch your looking for. I Love all gshocks Big or small this is a medium sized watch that can fit any size wrist. I have a 7 inch wrist size and it fits great. Happy Holidays. And enjoy any watch you choose. ... show more
