The case is nice and small and with a little creativity its very easy to turn this into a all in one travel kit. A couple zip ties, modifying the foam, and a 9 inch tv off amazon and you have yourself a "on the go" all in one!

Update: Originally I gave this product one star because it was missing a piece. However, Casematix stood by their product quality, and quickly corrected the error. Since then the case has been a great travel companion. Original review: The price point is fair. The precut foam fits the ps4 slim perfectly, and the cable space is enough. The case definitely isn’t a pelican. It’s more like a storage tote material with foam padding. It isn’t brittle (I put 100lb’s on the corners to see if it would break) The case is light so it should be alright for travel (My plan is to put it in my check bag when I travel for work we’ll see what happens) Conclusion No foam cut outs for top pad is really my only complaint otherwise i would have given 5 Stars. ... show more

I absolutely love how you can customize the top layer. You can really do whatever setup you want. The bottom layer easily fits my larger HDMI cable without issues along with the power cord! WTG guys thanks for making such a great product!

I have purchased multiple cases for my PS4 due to the amount I travel. I moved on from my USA Gear Blue Case because of the fact i wanted a hard case versus soft. I would like to be able to put it in checked baggage versus always carrying the case through the airport. I attempted to purchase the Aproca hard case and found the case to be to flexible with almost no padding. I think it would be great if you carried the case with you but not to put in checked bags. It’s definitely heavy duty. I think that it’ll secure the system in a fall and protect is without fail. The only major downfall is the lack of space for a controller or game. The area for cords is nice but personally I would’ve MUCH preferred a spot for a controller or a game. Overall I LOVE the durability of the case. It’ll protect my system the way I need it to but I feel my controllers and games are left defenseless. ... show more

Foam is form-fitted to receive the console already, any peripherals you need to custom cut the slots to sit above the console.

    • Excellent case, not designed specifically for the PS4 Slim
I like the case. It is overall well designed, easy to carry, and presented no major problems when packing up my PS4 for travel. The pieces of the top padding were very easy to pluck out and fit my Amazon Basics external hard drive enclosure, power supply, and USB cable, as well as my two DS4 controllers. I didn't need to pack my HDMI or power cable, so I left that knockout in place and just put my PS4 Slim in place. Everything fit SUPER snug and doesn't move about. However... the cutout for the PS4 slim was too narrow. I tried it in either orientation, and it did not fit the pre-cut space for it. It was not an issue for me; I was able to slice the foam to fit the console very easily with a (not terribly sharp) pocket knife. I cut away the foam on the handle side, reasoning that if I dropped the case, the bottom was more likely to hit, and thus would need more padding. I am deducting one star because it is listed as compatible with the PS4 and it is technically correct, but it took a little modification. Also, with the DS4 controllers in place, the top foam is slightly too thin to be level with the top of the joysticks, leading to pressure being applied to them when the lid is closed. This may or may not be a problem, but it could have been avoided entirely with 1/4" thicker padding and a 1/4" larger case. ... show more
