Before you decide to edc this, take the time to take out the screws holding the pocket clip on to put lock tight on them. Also don’t forget they do a very good job sharpening this. Great but will take a one year wear and tear update when that comes up. So spring 2026 I’ll update.

The quality I expect from Case knives is there. I typically do not care for frame locks, but this one is solid. The blade is thicker than your typical pocket knife, which I enjoy. The stonewashed blade looks great and so do the handle scales. The flipper action is smooth and seems reliable. There are a couple of problems that knock stars off. The screws holding the pocket clip in place stick out far enough to make it difficult to put the knife in your pocket. If your pants/shorts are made of thin material, it’ll probably be fine. The second issue makes no sense to me, design wise - there is a cutout on the frame lock that puts the tip of your ring finger in the way of the closing blade. The rating may seem harsh, but (for me) the pocket clip issue is enough for me not to carry it. I collect Case knives, so there’s no love lost on my end. I simply have higher expectations given the price. ... show more

At first I didn't care for the distressed finish of the blade. Over time I got used to it and like it now. This is my first tanto knife. It is very well made. The blade is thick with jimping and I like that. The flipper works great and the lock is solid. Fits my hand very well. The aluminum scales are great.
