Description

The Medium Amber Bone CV Stockman with Sheepfoot blade is a part of the Amber Bone CV Family. Our Amber Bone color and Peach Seed jig are signatures of the Case brand and the true heart of the Case line. Many Case users call on our traditional alloy steel blades to get the job done right while enjoying its ease of re-sharpening. Stockmans pack three blades in a convenient but very practical pocket knife. This durable folding knife features our peach seed jig amber bone handle and chrome vanadium blades. The Clip and Sheepfoot blade sit on the pocket end while the Spey blade sits on the cap end. The Clip blade is commonly used as a multi-purpose blade and preferred for detail work. The Sheepfoot blade allows for added strength at the point making it great for carving and achieving a clean cut. The Spey blade is commonly used as an all- purpose utility blade. This knife is constructed with our chrome vanadium (CV) steel. Some knife lovers will settle for nothing less than chrome vanadium blades, since this special formula of alloyed steel is the “original” Case blade steel. Case chrome vanadium blades are known for their edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening. However, they are less resistant to rusting, pitting and discoloration than stainless steel. We recommend keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish. This ensures that your knife will be around for future generations to enjoy. This multi-purpose pocket knife is perfect for everyday situations, hiking, or hunting. Comes conveniently packaged in a box. Made in Bradford, PA, USA from domestic and imported materials.

  • Excellent knife! EDC that cannot be beat
I really like this knife. At first I was skeptical about the CV blade, but it sharpens really easy, holds an edge well and is really sharp. Took me a while to resharpen it at the blade angle I like, but it was nice and sharp to begin with. I only changed it as a personal preference. Since then, all I do is occasionally strop the blades. This has been my EDC for the past bunch of months since I purchased it. I used to carry the SOG Flash (the small one), but I work a desk job in a cube, and I sometimes get eyebrows raised when I pull out the flash to open packages or other things. Probably because it is all black and has serrations (i don't use the spring assist deploy at work). Anyway, this one has much better reactions. "Oh my dad or grandad used to carry something like that". Also, I find it more versatile. I do a lot of whittling and this is great for having three useful blade profiles in your pocket. So when I am waiting for something and I'm standing around out side, I find a stick and whittle. My 4 year old has over a dozen 'magic wands' that I have made her with this. Really cant say enough good things about the knife. But there is one drawback, but it's only a problem if you whittle for an extended period of time. The sheep foot blade, the back of the blade is protruding when it is folded. I tend to use the spey blade mostly for whittling (i love the spey profile) and after alot of repetitive cuts using the spey or the clip, the back of the sheep foot blade makes your hand uncomfortable. The problem is, I really like the sheep foot profile for debarking twigs. Maybe if I could do it again I would buy the version with the Clip, Spey, and Pen knife. But it's not a problem enough for me to stop carrying this. If I lost this I would buy it again (if the clip, spey, pen) doesn't exist. I also have considered buying more of these for family and friends as gifts. ... show more

  • Great EDC
I’ve never had a bad Case that has come from Shepherd Hills Cutlery. Purchase with confidence.

  • The CASE brand speaks for itself.
Makes an excellent gift. I always have a jeweler engrave the recipient’s initials on the blade (also do this with Estwing hatchets).

  • Finally a perfect slipjoint knife!
My 6318cv arrived exactly on time and in perfect condition. The fit and finish are perfect, adequately sharp and already bonding with this classic. All three blades are hollow ground and mirror polished. Thanks for still doing it right Case. Bravo!

  • Blade Rub
You would think a knife of this quality would have better alignment design. The Spey rubs against the sheepsfoot and scratches it. They say it’s expected in a tri-blade, but this doesn’t happen in my Old Timer. Otherwise the knife is clean and sharp. Firm ‘talk’ with a slightly heavy ‘walk’.

  • Case knife very nice
Very nice as expected but was cs steel wasn't cv but seems to be the same .So nothing really to complain about

  • the worst Case knife I have owned
The knife was not build well and hard to open from day one. It seems like the blades were rubbing and not aligned. I realized too late that I did not buy the stainless steel version that I have had in the past. The knife started rusting in my pocket within two weeks. A non stainless version is supposed to remain sharper longer and easy to resharpen however this dulled even faster. I'm a big knife user and have had very expensive and very cheap knifes but not sure I will get another case knife. ... show more

  • I really like the look of the amber bone
This is the first case knife i have ever own. I really like the look of the amber bone. The knife feels good in the hand and seems to hold a good edge. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a sturdy pocket knife to carry around for everyday use. The only negative that i would say is that the large blade has developed stained spots on it. I don't know what caused the spots, could of been from me not wiping it off after peeling potatoes or slicing a onion. The spots don't affect the performance of the knife so I am not real worried about it. ... show more
