Description

The Case Yellow CV Sod Buster JR is a work-ready knife, built for use all day long. The Sod Buster JR is smaller than the traditional Sod Buster without compromising durability. This durable folding knife features a yellow synthetic handle and a Skinner blade. The bright yellow handle color will keep this Case Sod Buster JR easily within your sight. The Skinner blade is ideal for skinning purposes among other different everyday demands. This knife is constructed with our chrome vanadium (CV) steel. Some knife lovers will settle for nothing less than chrome vanadium blades, since this special formula of alloyed steel is the “original” Case blade steel. Case chrome vanadium blades are known for their edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening. However, they are less resistant to rusting, pitting and discoloration than stainless steel. We recommend keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish. This ensures that your knife will be around for future generations to enjoy. This pocket knife is suitable for everyday demands, the outdoors, or hunting. Comes conveniently packaged in a box. Made in Bradford, PA, USA from domestic and imported materials.

  • QUALITY to the MAX
Size: Small Color: Yellow
Great knife. Perfect size, weight and color to easily locate on the workbench. This is at least the 3rd one my husband has had over many years. Keeps it sharp as a razor. He loves everything about it and thinks there is nothing better in his pocket.

  • Solid little knife
Size: Small Color: Yellow
I already have a case large knife, and it is pretty good, but had lock rock, then I got a small size, and it's tight, no rock, blade is centered, no uneven sides. It's a pretty awesome Case knife. Great for outdoors and good to have in pocket for sure. Get American made!

  • Awesomely non-tactical EDC knife
Size: Small Color: Yellow
This is just an awesome classic, magnificently non-tactical folder (as in: people friendly) for EDC, fishing, backpacking, whatever-else-you-throw-at-it type use. I've got a medium-large hand, and the handle is a comfortable size for me, it doesn't feel like a "junior" knife at all when in use. Of course, know what you're buying, CV carbon steel will rust quickly so just look after it if it's needed. It comes with a great edge and will get hair popping sharp quite easily. The backspring is nice and tight, the design is simple yet sturdy, it will take hard use and ask for more. There's really not much more to say, it's a good old Sod Buster in Case "yella", it's already a proven knife. Get yourself one, you won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Very good pocket knife
Size: Small Color: Yellow
This pocket knife is easy to safely open and close. Good basic blade design useful for wide range. Yellow handle material is nice. Mine has carbon blade which is easy to sharpen and holds edge. The Case stainless is also good.

  • This could be the last knife you need
Size: Small Color: Yellow
Like the title says, this can easily be the last knife you will ever need (although if you are like me, it won't be the last you will buy). This knife has a very utilitarian blade shape. The steel takes an awesome edge. I was able to put a mirror edge on mine very quickly with my Lansky sharpener. The pull and snap of the blade is very good and tight. People who I let look at the knife say it is a little too hard, but I like it and it will likely loosen up over time. When closed, mine does have a little off centering of the blade, but not nearly enough to send it back, even though I know Case would take care of it. All in all, this is a very classic and thoughtfully designed knife. No frills. Good steel. Tough handle. Good proportions on everything. This knife is meant to be used and it feels great in the hand. For the price, this knife cannot be beat. ... show more

  • A good, basic, heavy-duty pocket knife
Size: Small Color: Yellow
This is one of the more famous traditional pocket knife patterns. I never saw the appeal to it, but my buddies in the Traditional sub-forum of bladeforums insisted it has its place. My argument was: "What does this do that a Victorinox Swiss army knife won't do for less money, and higher tool density for the same bulk?" So I bought this one to try to find out. There are indeed a couple of neat things about this knife: a) The handle is hand-filling. It feels good in the hand, even when cutting hard b) The Chrome Vanadium blade is really easy to sharpen, and holds an edge surprisingly well c) The blade stock is thicker than that of a Swiss army knife. It doesn't taper until it gets within 1/2" of the tip. This knife is truly made for some heavy use. d) The Delrin handle material is all but invincible. Just about impossible to scratch, and certainly impossible to break. The Cellidor scales on a Victorinox Swiss army break easily if dropped on pavement. (the knife still works, but it looks tatty after that) The only thing wrong with it is that the blade opening and closing action is not that smooth. It just feels like there's a lot of friction the whole way. It does not have that precision action and snap that a Victorinox Swiss army knife does. Keep this in mind before purchasing, and you won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Solid, snappy, sturdy, sharp and cheap - just what a pocket knife should be
Size: Small Color: Yellow
For years I ran a knife review website for bushcraft and made videos for YouTube. I eventually stopped because it seemed like there was little reason to review $100 fixed blade knives for bushcraft when a $12 mora did everything they could do without fear of loss or damage. I think this folder is a good example of the same thought process for a folder. It’s cheap. It’s sharp. It’s solid. I can whittle, open boxes, cut food, and run it on some 3000 grit wet dry sandpaper to bring it back to shaving in seconds. This will be a keeper, which says a lot since I’ve stopped carrying most of my other folders that cost a lot more. By the way, the Victorinox floral knife is another personal favorite. ... show more
