I read a lot of mixed reviews on this pop socket so I tried it out first before leaving a review. I needed something that wasn't a permanent sticker because I use a wireless charger around my house and occasionally in my vehicle. But I also needed it to last as I am clumsy and drop my phone a lot and I read constantly through my kindle app on my phone so holding my phone up with my pinky was starting to hurt. I have a very beat up silicone case on my phone thats been there for the last 2 years. So by no means was the case it was attaching to pristine. It popped on no problem although I did give my case and the underside of the suction cup a good wipe with isopropyl alcohol. I left it for a few days just to see how it fared without unsuctioning and continuous use including being shoved into pockets and purses. It never came off and had a good hold. I then took it off and on for the evenings and it still went on perfectly stayed on all day no issues. I do break the seal from the side when I take it off to keep the integrity of the suction cup but otherwise this is absolutely perfect and works well. I can only assume other bad reviews had some sort of user error or cases that weren't compatible. ... show more

Edit Feb 2025 (1 Star): The suction cup plastic has gotten more rigid and flat so it can barely suction onto the phone anymore. Very easy to pop off now too by accident. So it worked for a few months and seems like it won't last much longer. ----------------------------- OG review (3 Stars): Super pretty (got the glitter) and it's a very cute, small size. Overall I like it, though it could be a better product. It sticks to my iPhone (caseless) alright - on the first use, the mini didn't budge at all. BUT: After about a week it seems to slip easily when in use. If I'm holding my phone solely using the mini, the weight of the phone will slowly make the mini scoot from the middle of my phone to the top. If I use it as a stand to prop my phone on it's side, it will eventually scoot and fall off since it passed the edge of the phone. The weirdest thing I noticed is when I leave the mini off my phone for a day or two, there's some sort of liquid (oil?) that beads up in the suction cup. First time I thought maybe something else condensed on it and wiped it off. But it came back and honestly, it's a dry winter so it seems like it's coming from the mini itself. As a long-time PopSocket user, I purchased this mini suction grip because I was enthralled by the idea of finally being able to move a grip around to accommodate the variety of different ways that I hold devices. It has not disappointed! I am using it on my Kindle currently, and the suction strength feels strong and secure. It has not fallen off once, yet at the same time it’s easy to remove. As someone who loves customizing my Kindle with stickers, I particularly appreciate the small size of the grip. I have the Kindle basic (the smaller one) and there is already not a whole lot of space to place stickers to begin with. With a larger, fixed grip like a PopSocket, you’ve already lost most of your sticker real estate to the grip. But thanks to this ones size, movability (is that a word?) and clear base, the space on the back of my Kindle that I can use for stickers has been maximized! ... show more

Was expecting this to be like a pop socket. It is not. Does not collapse, suction cup did not stick to my case and since it didn’t collapse I didn’t want to use the sticky provided to adhere it to my case. It’s also very small. It is pretty tho and just as pictured. Not for me tho.

At first, I couldn’t get it to stick properly, and it was frustrating. You really need to make sure your phone or phone case surface is flat and clean, I wiped mine down very well with alcohol (or hey, even a wet wipe or spit in a pinch 😅). Also, wetting the suction part before applying helped a lot. Once I did that, it finally stuck well! It's super cute, and I love that I can take it off when I need to charge. If it stays put and doesn’t fall off again, I’ll definitely buy more. Giving it 4 stars for now just because of the initial struggle. ... show more

Cute. However if you want a broken glass phone that’s what I got ! It pops off all the time and ends up crashing to the floor. So I quit using it and unfortunate it is just a landfill item now.

Love my pop socket… so beautiful & affordable. And I like that it even holds well onto a liquid glitter phone case. HOWEVER, i didn’t realize the reason it has a suction cup base & says it’s removable for wireless charging purposes is that it is NOT collapsible. After having a collapsible 1, I think I’d prefer one I don’t have to remove every time I want to charge it or lay it mostly flat. On the plus side, the suction base should allow me to repurpose it elsewhere in the house. ... show more
