I have been tracking the Jelly Totes for a while. When it went on sale, I decided to purchase it. The plastic is a nice thickness. Not to hard or stiff but nice enough to stand but can also be folded if needed in a suitcase (making it highly portable). The raffia bow is a super cute and stylish touch. The bow is not. a ribbon and does have more of a traditional raffia texture. It does have the ability to be shaped unlike a ribbon. I like the ecru color just goes with everything. It's very versatile for summer and could be beach or just casual afternoon summer party. The length between the bow and the top of the bag is nice (not tight underneath your arm). There is no zipper. I like having gifts on hand for various moments in life and I thought there is no one that wouldn't love this. ... show more

Ok, I wanted a nice tote to replace the stylish grocery bag I had been using (hey, it's a Trader Joe's special city edition), lol. I really liked the silver chrome and all the other no-name brands that look like Case-Mates don't offer this silver color. I didn't want one of those iridescent bags, although very pretty, that you could see all the contents. This silver bag is opaque, and is only offered by Case-Mates, but that price tag, yike. Happily, while I was thinking about it, a special 20% off coupon appeared and made it a bit easier to justify. It's still pricy for a plastic bag, but YOLO....so I got it. I have to say it's a very nice tote - the plastic is shiny, thick, durable and the straps are heavy but soft and pliable. This is a very nice bag and I can see the quality. It's just a bag, no zippers, extra pockets or compartments, although it does have a flat pouch included with a tether that you can hook inside so you don't lose it. That pouch is very handy for small loose items. This tote fits my needs, I just wanted something to put my purse and other belongings into so I don't have to juggle multiple items. I love the shiny silver chrome look, shiny but not flashy like gold would have been, and the thick black straps are a nice contrast. Good value if you get this on sale, but if you have bucks and don't worry about it, get it anyway. Nice style and durable for any use, gym, work, errands, farmers market, etc. It's a good functional size, too, not too big, but big enough you can fit alot and it still looks sleek. I wanted one of these bags because I wanted to be able to clean it easily and this fits the bill. Note, the listings by Case-Mate say you can put their bags in the washer and air dry, NOT THIS ONE - directions for this one is specifically to wipe clean only. I don't go to the beach, so I won't be using it for this, but I can see this would be great for that, too. Lastly, I'm not a youngster, I'm 66, so I just couldn't go with the iridescent colors, although pretty, but the silver is a nice way to go stylish and for any age. ... show more

The iridescent bag with the lavender handle shows pinks, purples, yellows and blues in the light. Stunning in the sun. You can see the contents, but a person would really have to get close to read a book title through all that shiny color shifting. It came with a pouch with a zip-lock. The plastic is thick and stiff, and the bag holds itself up. It's about the same height and length as a laptop bag, only wider. No padding. I carry my bag to work with my wallet, a journal, water bottle, a small makeup pouch and a pouch for pens and stuff. There's room to spare if I wanted to throw a towel in. It's not small like a purse. It would make a good beach bag. No zipper, but I almost never keep those zipped anyway. Gives it a clean look at the top. I'd buy Case Mate again.
