  • Love it!
I recently rebought this game since I lost it a long time ago. I got it very cheap and the game got here in fantastic condition! The game itself is definitely a product of its time, but a very good product to say the least. It’s a very well down squad game that lets you decide how you play your game. You can rush the enemy, use some strategic tactics, or stealth in some cases. I feel the game leaves it a bit too open to the player to decide how to go about the game. However, if you increase the difficulty it forces you much more often to be more strategic and smart with how you approach a given area. The story isn’t important in this game at all. It’s basically just said a few times to set the stage for the player to go around killing things. Or to use brute force. All in all, a very great game that is so much fun for me to play. It’s cool honestly that they leave a lot up to the player. It could perhaps be too open, but I think it still is awesome. The characters are also very likable. Particularly Brutus who is an awesome ally to have by your side! It’s a great game that ends right where it needs to and gives enough missions to fulfill some random shooting or strategic fun! ... show more

  • Fun as hell but coulda been betta
This game is awsome! i just got it yesterday and have been playing for 7 hours and havent beaten it. thats a good sign being that halo took me way over 7 hours. so heres the deal: THE GOOD: (1) you have awsome co-op.(2) that its long enough to do more than rent. (3) graphics are sweet! (4) [you can still play online with xbconnect.com]...shhh (5) you have enough items and weapons to have a few favorites and not get bored with em. (6) you can command your allies sorta like ghost recon...without all the technical stuff THE BAD: (1)NO XBOX LIVE 8( (2)Dont know about you, but I like first person shooters better than third person shooters...and this is a third person shooter. (3) no surprises like in halo with the flood. Basically i gave it a 4 because it woulda been crazy with xbox live...o well still definitely worth buying! ... show more

  • It Plays, its fun, it was criminally cheap.
Shockingly after years of getting scratched, awful discs I was fortunate enough to recieve a piece of my childhood without any headaches. The case was in very good condition with THE MANUAL! Disc looked refinished (Thank you) and booted up with no issues. Lovely edition to my collection. As for the game, Its a squad based sci-fi 3rd person shooter. 4 characters with unique abilities. Its from 2003, plays like a game from 03', handles like a game from 03'. Some missions are suprisingly hard even on the easiest difficultly and require you to utilize ever advantage you might have. The story might as well not exist, but there are some funny lines and interactions between the squad. Beyond that theres a multiplayer that lets you pick just about all of the characters in the game with unique abilities themselves. It was a dollar 75, for a game that somehow looks like the weapons were carved from potatos in Lucas Films' basement and the maps are just shooting gallerys it plays like AAA game from the time. There were better games, but none of them let me dual weild miniguns, have an aimbot, or let me summon whatever the "Spirit of Vengar" is and bum rush a dude to death. 10/10 might aswell sir, we're here. ... show more

  • Fun Strategy
I've already played this game through once on easy mode, and it was okay. Basically, I didn't really use all the manuevers at my command. I all did with it was run and shoot. Now, I'm playing through Brutal Mode, and trying to use complete stategy while playing. Hawks invisibility helps locate where the enemy's are giving early intel. Brutus allows for seeing further in the darkness or mist, allowing Flint to stand next to him and shoot what he sees. Tex is more of a fall back character for me though, he's tough, but in Brutal mode, he's sorta the last resort guy. The ability to place your squad where you want them can become really advantageous. Flint snipes from a high position, while Brutus and Tex surround the opening, and then Hawk lures the enemies into the open. It has really cool graphics, and if played strategically, it can be quite a challenge. Some things are hard to find though, but once all the enemy have been destroyed, you can generally go back and look for whatever to achieve your secondary objectives. It can be played as either a shooter game, or a strategy game. Your choice. I love it. Brutal Mode is hard though. ... show more

  • Game is bad
I liked how fast I got it and it didn't lag with no scratches and came in the original case. The seller was good but this game was TERRIBLE. It had little to no storyline, It's the game game-haters think of when they say: It's just a waste of time and there's nothing good about it. This game had MANY worlds you visited but only 4 to 5 environments. It was very repetitive and was easy to beat most of the time. It had some boss fights but again they were WAY to easy. There was no depth in the characters and it felt like the main character would rather be anywhere else than doing his job. The only good thing about this game was that the Crocodile character would run on all fours when you played as him. This game made me want to give up playing the X-Box all together. It was that terrible. So don't waste your money, don't buy this piece of junk. ... show more
