Description

W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company is an American manufacturer of traditional pocket knives, fixed blades/sporting knives, kitchen knives, limited edition commemoratives and collectibles. The company originated in Little Valley, New York, around the turn of the 20th century, before relocating to its current home, Bradford, Pennsylvania, in 1905. The company's namesake, William Russell Case, first made knives with his brothers under the name Case Brothers Cutlery Company. His son, John Russell ("Russ") Case, worked as a salesman for his father's company before founding W.R. Case & Sons.

Classy made in USA folder from Case (as usual). Fit and finish is the usual top notch quality also. Only complaint I have is why can’t Case ever have a decent factory edge? Massive burr with horribly uneven grind. Sure it’s easily fixable with some time on the stone but it should t be this bad. Blade is sharpened very unevenly; the naked eye can clearly see the difference from side to side …How did Case let this pass quality control anyway? Bought from Amazon thinking I was getting a good USA-made knife … WRONG … can’t compare with several Barlows made in China! Sad, very sad. Case needs to take a lesson from Marbles, Rough Ryder, or even Schrade for how to finish the evenness of a blade. Bought this Case Barlow because I wanted quality. And, Shepherd Hills needs to do a check the quality control check before they send out Case knives. Disappointed. ... show more

Super nice knife. I've been leary of Case's Quality Control from my experience with the last four knives knives. I thought I'd try again with this new release Barlow and the highly rated Shepherd Hills vendor. I am not at all disappointed! Super fast shipping. The metal is even in all places and highly polished. The 6.5 bonestag handles are cut nicely and very well matched. Even springs with no gaps. Very sharp.
