This ¼ inch socket set from the CARTMAN store is similar to several other offerings from several other sellers such as Egofine, as many of the parts look identical. What makes this set different is the inclusion of 7 deep sockets along with all the other accessories. I like the flexible extension and the T bar, and I am so glad this set is smooth polished chrome vanadium and is not black anodized. The sockets have size markings etched on the sides so you can figure out when they go back in the case (which also has size markings). There are several of the bits however, where the size markings on the shaft is buried in the ¼ inch base adapter part of the bit. If you remove several of these at the same time from the case, you may have trouble getting them back into their proper places. My only disappointment is this ratchet has too much play in the center of the tool. When attached to the deep sockets and extensions there is more wobble than I like. I compared this to two other ¼ inch drives I have and this socket has more play than what I consider normal. The product description does not mention how many teeth the ratchet wrench has, but it does not feel like very many. I prefer a higher tooth count of 72 as it just feels more precise. This tool set from the CARTMAN store is currently priced at $26 which is reasonable compared to other offerings. If you already own a decent ¼ inch drive and are lacking the specific accessories this kit comes with, then this would be an excellent add-on.

I am not pleased with this set. The sockets and bits are fine, but every single tool and extension fits so loose that the bits and sockets will not stay attached. I had a miserable time using this set to work on a couple of lawnmowers and rototillers. The sockets simply would not stay on when I had to reach anything. The included ratchet is very poorly made, in fact the first thing I had to do was put it together when I got it. The screws had come out. Fortunately one of the included hex wrenches fit them, but speaking of hex wrenches, there were suppsoed to be 3 of them, and only 2 were in mine. My recommendation... Keep the sockets and bits and use them with better made tools. I will commend this company on one thing... the case actually has a hinge! And the case actually does hold most of the contennts in place, but the latches are the cheapest most delicate plastic things. They will break, so be easy with them. Oh, and if you don't get them latched good and don;t fully grab the handle when you pick the case up, you will fling the 15 short sockets, the ratchet, and the hex wrenches everywhere. What I recieved was simply too poorly made to recommend.

Handy little small socket set that has a lot of different accessories that is super handy to have. My biggest complaint is the sockets don’t really fit into the spots tightly and sockets are always falling out.

What an absolutely perfect gift idea for someone at the age where they may be going out into the world and dealing with repairs on their own for the first time. This isn't a "professional grade" set or anything like that but it IS an excellent, small, well contained cross section of some of the most functional sockets and tools that you can imagine. Perfect for someone getting into their first apartment, or taking on homeowner tasks for the first time. The tools themselves are good quality and the ratchet works great. Sockets selection covers all the most commonly found standard sizes and the case is compact and organized. For the price, this is a fantastic idea.

As I saw another reviewer state, this is identical to ratchet tool sets sold under various different manufacturer names. I actually have a case that is the same case as this one comes with, from another vendor. All in all, it's a very good set for mid-level jobs and to have as an easy take-around-the-house tool case for most day-to-day sort of work. The type of set that is perfect when you suddenly need to fix something when you were just in the middle of relaxing and eating some cheesy poofs. If some cat tries to do heavy-duty work with it, though, I'd say, "No kitty, that's a bad kitty!" The ratchet mechanism on the wrench doesn't compare to the good ones, a little too loose on the mechanism, just not a tight feel, but it works and saves wear and tear, not to mention lugging around a much heavier tool, on the higher-end ratchets. The sockets and additional bits and pieces that come with this are a good plus. I think most people would be perfectly happy with this value set to start a home toolbox. Just don't expect to tackle heavily rusted bolts or do major car repairs with it. Now, screw you guys, I'm going home!

This set has a really great assortment of bits! It's an excellent value for the price. The case holds everything in place, even when I travel with it. I also appreciated that it has a flexible extension, which is something that you rarely see in a standard 1/4" drive socket set. The one issue I had was that the 4-inch extension does not stay attached, but the others worked just fine. I would recommend this kit for the price!

I could have sworn the label said "Craftsman." The ratchet set itself is not bad. Metric sizes only. Goes up to 14mm. Smallest size is 4 mm. There are a 3 extensions for hard to reach spots, one short, one longer, and one which bends and flexes. In addition to the metric sockets there is a screwdriver with 21 attachments. 9 standard screwdriver heads in various sizes, 6 Hex sizes, and 6 star shaped drivers T10, T15, T20, T25, T30. The screwdriver bits and the sockets are interchangeable. Can use sockets on the screwdriver, and vice versa. There's also a Tbar, universal joint, and some small hex keys. Everything works and I'm sure this will come in handy at some point.
