I was very impressed with this scooter. It was simple to set up with easy instructions. Took me about 15 minutes to get acquainted with it. I have used the rental electric scooters in big cities and this equally compares to them and is built well. I drove it around the neighborhood and my husband took it fishing at the end of the street. He really tested the max weight limit of 265lb with his fishing gear but the scooter didn't bog down too bad. He said it was a little slow going up and over small hills but it got the job done. Riding is smooth and steady and the breaks work great. I am used to two handle brakes and this only has 1, but that will take some getting used to for me. There is a light for it as well which is very helpful for coming back from the fishing spots at night. He got the scooter up to 16mph and I like that you can change the speed on the handle bars in case the max speed is too much for you. We charged it for a few hours in the evening and it charges quickly. The charging cord is easy to wrap up and take with you too. I belive transporting this scooter will be easy as well as it folds up nicely. Another thing is at night, the light comes on automatically and when you brake, lights flast on the scooter which I feel is a very safe feature. I look forward to taking this scooter to DC in August and saving the money I could have spent on renting the Lime scooters.

After traveling to several cities with rental electric scooters designed for getting around in an urban setting I decided to purchase one for my own home use. I discovered this scooter on Amazon and thought it reasonably affordable so I ordered it. Upon its arrival, I was pleasantly surprised at the construction and quality of its design. I exceeded my expectations for the amount of money I paid for it. This scooter is designed very well, the quality of the materials surprised me as well as the attention to detail with design details I had not expected. After fully changing the scooter I took it for my first ride. Again, I was surprised at how stable and secure I felt. I am at the upper end of this scooter's suggested weight, and it easily motored me around my town without feeling that the motor was straining. I rode that first ride for about 40 min and returned home. I was amazed at having used just one-quarter of the battery. Since that first ride, I have made many trips around town and my satisfaction with this purchase has not dimmed. I am pleasantly surprised at some of the features I didn’t think to check out before ordering which I found on this scooter. The best one is the cruise setting. I had not thought of this option but wouldn’t order a scooter without it now that I have some experience. Thankfully, the designers of this scooter thought of it for me. Another is the celebrated handlebar! After unfolding the scooter I am able to return the handlebar to its correct position without guesswork on my part. If you are in the market for a scooter I don’t think you can do better than this scooter at any price!

These scooters shouldn't be legal to sell! The throttles are incredibly CHEAP and from what I can tell are designed to function for a short period of time before requiring replacement. Think you can simply order replacement parts from Caroma? Think again. Customer service? Read the reviews. Non-existent. Multiple purchases and each had the throttle "wear out" incredibly quick. There are cheap replacement 3rd party "scooter throttle" replacement parts out there, however the JST-type connections are different. Unless you're a skilled electronics bench technician with the proper JST replacement connection pieces and crimper tool, good luck locating the correct replacement throttle. The scooter was great for my 13-year-old until one of the most used part simply disintegrated into multiple plastic pieces, which is definitely unrepairable. IMHO, stay away unless you plan on multiple purchases.

Heavier than my last scooter, it can only be folded if the height is adjusted all the way up. The brake lights include bright blue LEDSs which flash underneath the scooter. Makes me feel much safer when riding at night. I just hold the brake when stopped so I'm seen. Assembly was easy and comes with a sufficiently long charger. Lasted me 13 months before the battery finally died. The only time I took it to a shop for a repair was when I went up a shopping center driveway too fast, and broke the throttle. It used to handle 5 miles a day on one charge just fine (while at its max speed of 19mph). In the last few months of its life, it would slow down after only 2.5miles (19mph -> 13mph). A significant drop when I'm trying to get home on the busiest of suburban streets safely. A good brand, considering the affordable price. I recommend a 1-year warranty, it'll be worth the money if you need to submit a claim for any battery issues, or if the throttle breaks as mine did (I had another cheaper Caroma scooter before this, the throttle on that one was a much more delicate plastic piece. Amazing customer support. They gave me money back and sent a replacement throttle for that one, thanks to the warranty + emailing them about a replacement part). I've yet to take any action on this one's battery dying, but it lived such a long life I don't even mind lol.

First impressions just opening the box was this was a quality product. Extremely well packaged and putting it together took about 15 seconds. Its nearly full assembled and finishing it was easy. You can tell this is made with quality materials. I let it charge for a few hours to top it off as the instructions said. Took it out for my first ride and was BLOWN AWAY about how good it was. SUPER quite, easy to ride and plenty fast. I actually like it on mid speed as the high speed was a little too fast for me. I am 185 pounds and I get plenty of speed out of this. I bought this to replace another high-end brand scooter that stopped charging and they wouldnt do anything about it. I got this scooter, its better and far less expensive. If you are in the market for one, GET THIS ONE. My main use for this is riding around the neighborhood and riding with my daughter - she likes that i can ride along with her. She has a kids model and when she is ready to upgrade, I will be getting her one of these!

When I first unboxed the Caroma electric scooter, it felt pretty solid and well-built for its price. Assembly was quick — mostly just adjusting the handlebar height. The adjustable handlebar is a major plus, especially since I’m 5’7” and my partner is 6’2”— both of us can ride it comfortably. Speed performance: there are 3 riding modes to meet your needs, you can adjust them by pressing “power button” and it will change the color of “S” It easily reaches around 15–18 mph on flat roads. Feels quick but still safe. The ride was smooth, good for beginners (like me) and casual rides. I consistently get about 15+ miles per full charge, which matches the specs for this model. Enough for running errands or a quick commute. Great for weaving through light traffic. I really loved adjustable handlebar. Super helpful! You can raise or lower it to fit your height perfectly. It also helps with posture, so you don’t get a sore back after longer rides. As well as wide handlebars and a roomy deck make it feel stable, even when going faster. The brakes are super safe and easy to operate. No issues at all. It’s a really lightweight unit, about 34 lbs — light enough to carry upstairs or in public transport. The folding mechanism is simple and sturdy. Folds in 5 seconds and fits in my car trunk easily. It folds quickly and locks securely which is easy to carry with one hand. Frame feels sturdy — no rattling or shaking so far. Comes with basic front and rear lights. They’re bright enough for visibility but not strong enough for really dark streets. Small display shows speed, battery level, and riding mode. If you’re looking for an affordable, adjustable, and beginner-friendly electric scooter for urban riding or casual commuting, the Caroma delivers great value. The adjustable handlebar is a standout feature that many other scooters in this price range don’t offer. Super convenient for daily rides around town, it gets the job done with minimal fuss. Riding an electric scooter gives me real freedom — no waiting for buses, no sitting in traffic, no fighting for parking spots. I can just unfold it and go anywhere, anytime. Short errands and commuting are way faster and more fun now. Overall, it’s been an excellent experience and I’m genuinely impressed by how much convenience it adds to my daily routine.

This is a great, affordable, well built scooter. For the price it would be extremely hard to beat. It's well built, sturdy and can handle weight. I've been very happy with the performance of the scooter and have found it's range and speed to be spot on accurate. There is one small and one possibly larger caveat with this scooter. The small - when you fold the scooter, there is a latch on the steering head that clips onto a receiver on the rear wheel fender. I'm not completely confident this will last more than a year or two. It just seems a little under-built. The larger - this was likely a misunderstanding on my part. When you select the different speeds - 5, 10 or 15 mph - the scooter will not go over that speed but the gearing does not change. Meaning, if you are going up a hill reducing the speed to 5 or 10 mph does not increase the torque of the motor output and it is not easier going up hills at a lower speed. If fact I have found the opposite - get as much speed and momentum as you can as you begin to climb any hills. Otherwise this is a really well built, sturdy and capable scooter that I'm glad I bought!
