I purchased this coat for my mother to wear in the winter as she works as a mail carrier and constantly gets out of her vehicle. I got her this Carhartt coat as a gift and she loves it! It has too many pockets to know what to do with and she says it is incredibly warm. She is not used to having a brand new coat and is afraid to get it dusty with the mail, but she does love it for Iowa's harsher winter days! I love the quality, design, and color of this coat! A lot of pockets both outside and inside. The hood is nicely tapered. I highly recommend. I sized up to have more room for sweaters. I live in the Rockies of Colorado so we can get the weather!

Listen I am 78 years old living in New Mexico and I have to take care of outside things. This coat is so warm and you don’t feel the wind blowing through your bones. I like the slits on the sides for extra movement Rain doesn’t penetrate this just duc-y coat and I love the dark plum color(they call it blackberry I think) . Wonderful coat. Worth the money. The is a great coat in keeping with the Carhartt standards. Sturdy fabric, lots of pockets, side zips for more mobility. The Downside is that the hood is not removable and the top edge hits my head in the back. The second point is that it's extra heavy. About 10 lbs or so. I bought this jacket before the upcoming threats of a winter storm. Well here we are in a blizzard as we speak so put this jacket to the test. It definitely deflects against wet and cold snow. It is not so overweighted, durable, comfortable and flattering. I would give this a ten if I could. I wear this product on our farm. I ride a side by side or ATV and am very comfortable ----it is super easy to wear and movable in. I do horse stall cleaning in it. I like to open the sides if I am riding a horse or if I need more room on the ATV. Recommend.
