I loved everything about this jacket, the material was great, the arm length was good, nice light lining, pockets, extra length to cover my butt and hips… but it was built too straight. I’m not hippy, my shoulders and hips are almost even. This coat was sloppy loose up top, the shoulder seams drooping partway to my elbows, and I could barely connect the zipper at the bottom to zip it. I wear 12/14 depending on brand, and a North Face Large fits me fine, Columbia I can wear Med or Lg depending on flexibility of fabric. I have many Carhartt clothes, and this was a disappointment. Interestingly I returned and re-ordered a larger size, and STILL barely got the bottom of the zip together. Very weird, the too and chest and length all went up but not the hip circumference.

Oversized, cute, lightweight coat. Wore it in POURING rain and soaked through, which this coat isn't waterproof but resistant. It does get hot in humidity and isn't that breathable, but it's a great coat for light rain.

So, starting with the good news! The coat appears very well constructed with quality materials. The bad news, this coat is cut very strangely. I have a very curvy hourglass shape, with wide shoulders, a large bust, smaller waist, and wide hips. I am proportionate, however, and usually if a coat fits my chest, it also fits my hips. This coat was extremely baggy on top, and in the shoulders, and arms, even over a sweatshirt. From the top of the hips down, the coat was extremely tight, and I would have been uncomfortable trying to walk in it, and would not have been able to sit down while wearing it. Also, the waist cinch is positioned very high on the body, so the coat cinched on my ribcage not far below my bra line. Phew, just a hot mess, at least on my body.

Loose fit is as expected. Sleeve length is shorter than i expected. Ordered a medium and two of me could have fit Inside. That’s saying a lot because I like loose fitting jackets to layer. Reordered the small. Love the jacket otherwise.
