I searched and searched for a jacket. Finally found this one, was unsure because if the brand and bulkiness of the brand... however knowing the durability of Carhartt I had to give it a try. I've work it about 12 times now as our Minnesota weather starts to get colder and colder. Its doing a fabulous job keeping me warm! It's not overly bulky. I did size down to an xs compared to other brands. Highly recommended going to a store to try on the brand for your size! I have to also mention pockets! Nice and large! Highly recommend!

This is advertised as the warmest women’s jacket that Carhartt makes. If you’re expecting this jacket to be as warm as the Men’s jackets they make, you will probably be disappointed as it does not have the same level of warmth retention as my husband’s warmest rated Carhartt. I guess Carhartt doesn’t really believe that women work outside in frigid conditions or something. Anyway. This jacket has a nice cut, fits well and I think it fights true to size. I usually wear a medium so that’s what I ordered and it fits nicely with room underneath for a couple layers. I LOVE the pockets on this - the front outside chest pocket is decently sized, and the front pockets have the usual hand pockets as well as a top access pocket with a flap that snaps closed. The hood is just the right size and when zipped up all the way, is snug enough around the neck to not let drafts in, and to hold the hood over your warm hat and not get blown off. It’s definitely windproof, which is another feature I really appreciate.

I tried on the large and XL at Sportsman's Warehouse before buying on Amazon. The XL was too big. I found the large to be perfect. I can wear sweatshirts and sweaters underneath since it has a little room. It doesn’t feel tight and feels roomy. On Amazon, light blue was on sale for $74. I ordered a large. The hood does not detach from the jacket and remains attached. I couldn’t be happier.

I love my coat! i love all the different pockets for my gloves and other necessities! there’s even a pocket on the inside big enough to keep my school notebook in it!! the only thing i wish i would’ve known is that it already kinda runs big, i wouldn’t have sized up if i had known this but now i can layer up under my coat.

This coat is definitely not for those that want a slim fit. It is more of a masculine style. It's very warm and perfect for rain as well! The hood is not removable for those that might be wondering and it kind of touches the back of your head constantly, but all in all this is going to be a perfect coat for snowy days! The light blue color is just beautiful too!

Definitely a good jacket to wear in cold weather specially in snow mountain areas. Only down side is I have long arms (I’m 5’9) so on the wrist area it does a little higher then I would like but nothing that really bothers me. This is a bulky jacket that does prevent some movement but it’s fine since it does keep me warm.
