Awesome bag, perfect for my usecase (basically a go-bag that I use once a week for work trips that carries one suit of clothes, EDC stuff, extra charging, laptop, toiletry roll, etc). Has an assortment of pocket types, all of which work well and keep things where you want them for the most part. Strong build quality across the board. Stable when worn thanks to thick straps. I love this backpacking! Great build but of course it is I expect nothing less from Carhartt. This thing is huge in the storage area.. I have traveled out of state with just this for a week. Literally perfect especially since I was flying alone. I didn't have to wait for luggage. Didn't have to worry about things getting lost. This backpack is a little expensive but well worth the money. It is very well-made, very durable, and large so it fits very well on an adult. It is durable enough to use for hiking/camping but features plenty of pockets for books and classroom supplies. It also features a padded pocket for a laptop to be carried in the pocket closest to the wearer. My 15" laptop fits very well in the laptop compartment with a little room to spare. This backpack also features a reinforced bottom to prevent damage from an occasional drag against the floor or from sharper objects tearing a hole in the bottom. Bought this to replace my old backpack that was provided by my workplace. I was looking for a very specific compartment layout and this one pretty much hit the nail on the head. I've been using it for about 18 months and it's held up very well. Just the right size to fit under airplane seats, divided up with just the right space for my laptop, and large collection of cables and adapters that are needed for work. It gets left on the ground on construction sites, covered in metal shavings, and I just brush it off and go on about my business. Actually, for the amount of use and dirt that it sees, I'm surprised that it still looks as new as it does. My only complaint is that I wish the side pockets were just ever so slightly taller to accommodate water bottles while fully zipped up. This backpack will do it, but I feel it puts excessive strain on the zipper, otherwise I would score it 10/10. ... show more
