This backpack is a little expensive but well worth the money. It is very well-made, very durable, and large so it fits very well on an adult. It is durable enough to use for hiking/camping but features plenty of pockets for books and classroom supplies. It also features a padded pocket for a laptop to be carried in the pocket closest to the wearer. My 15" laptop fits very well in the laptop compartment with a little room to spare. This backpack also features a reinforced bottom to prevent damage from an occasional drag against the floor or from sharper objects tearing a hole in the bottom. I believe this bag will last for several years with substantial use.

So many pockets, very sturdy, thick sturdy straps. The only beef I have is that it doesn't really sit up on its own with its reinforced bottom. I would probably keep the reinforced bottom so the bag doesn't wear through but it makes it lean a little. No biggie

I’m a college student with laptop and multiple books etc daily and this is my favorite backpack. Has 3 large components ( one padded for laptop, 1 for books notebooks /and 1 with mini mesh zipper areas ) also has a front side with two small pockets and two side pockets . Great quality . I love it! Highly recommend!

Bought this to replace my old backpack that was provided by my workplace. I was looking for a very specific compartment layout and this one pretty much hit the nail on the head. I've been using it for about 18 months and it's held up very well. Just the right size to fit under airplane seats, divided up with just the right space for my laptop, and large collection of cables and adapters that are needed for work. It gets left on the ground on construction sites, covered in metal shavings, and I just brush it off and go on about my business. Actually, for the amount of use and dirt that it sees, I'm surprised that it still looks as new as it does. My only complaint is that I wish the side pockets were just ever so slightly taller to accommodate water bottles while fully zipped up. This backpack will do it, but I feel it puts excessive strain on the zipper, otherwise I would score it 10/10.

Got this backpack after my Dakine backpack of 7+ years started failing on me and got holes at the bottom. I needed both a larger backpack and wanted a backpack that was more waterproof, which this fit exactly. Fits all of my books and tech comfortably, and so far I have had no problems with things getting wet in normal rain. Obviously its not fully waterproof so if you shove it underwater things will get wet, but so far normal rain has not been able to get through the backpack. Great durability and quality for the price!

I've used this backpack for quite a few short trips now -- and I love the compartments and pockets and it's comfortable to carry. The one flaw / missing feature for me are compression straps. Because the backpack doesn't have those, it tends to really sag/look massive on your back even when you don't have it filled to capacity. I'm a pretty small short woman and it doesn't just make me look ridiculous -- it also starts getting too big to be a personal item or fit under your airplane seat. Compression straps would make this a 5-star bag; lack of makes it 4.
