  • Pay for the comfort and quality.
Size: 11.5 Color: Brown Oil Tanned Leather
No break in time needed with these, they felt great right out of the box. I’ve only worn them for about 2 weeks now and work and so far they have held up great. They fit me good (pick the size you normally wear) and are very comfortable for long hours on your feet. It is a composite toe so lighter than a steel toe which I prefer. Haven’t had any issues with water getting in the boots from rain. Also, the material on the outside is very easy to clean. I plan on buying another pair once these get too beat up whenever that may be. I’ve had other boots and the past that were cheaper but I’d always end up changing the insoles and doing everything I could to get them to be comfortable and they would always make my feet sore and blistered after long hours. These are not like that. They are expensive but you are paying for quality. ... show more

  • Best boots I’ve ever bought!
Size: 11 Wide Color: Brown Oil Tanned Leather
I have had these boots for almost 6 months now and they are still in great shape. I am Food Service Technician, so I don’t go easy on boots. Boots I’ve had in the past were in terrible shape at this point. The fitment is perfect, I ordered them with box toe and wide and they fit the shape of my feet. Arch support is spot on and feet and lower back feel good all day. The non-slip has prevented a lot of falls since I work on slippery floors more often than not. Boot feels light since it is composite toe. 10/10 would recommend if your are looking for durable, affordable boots. ... show more

  • Great Boot and Quality! But Beware: Runs Large
Size: 11 Color: Brown Oil Tanned Leather
Exactly what I was looking for in an electrical boot as not only is it certified up to 2018 code, but it looks and feels great too. There's nothing fancy about this boot, but that's not why we buy work boots anyway. This shoe is tough, rugged, comfortable, and has excellent grip on the soles. Everything I've come to expect from a Carhartt product. However, there were some minor issues while purchasing the boot. I actually had to purchase two pairs of the SAME boots before finding the right fit for this one. I've been a set 10.5/11 in boots and shoes since my body decided to give up on me and stop by growing at 6 feet tall (couldn't have just given me 2 more inches, could ya?). And never since then haven't had to wear a size 10 or 11 .5 in any shoe or boot. But with these specific boots, size 11 was absolutely enormous on my foot, and 10.5 wasn't any better. I now have a size 10, and to be honest it's still is a little large but not to the point where I feel it would be uncomfortable eventually. In fact, that little bit extra room will give plenty of space if I do need to double up on socks or wear a heavy sock. But be aware that these boots do run large and if you do not have a wider based foot it may feel as if there's too much room side to side as well. But, I've worn these boots for two days now and has not presented an issue even with feeling the extra space. All in all great boot though and considering I purchase the boot online and did not try it on in store I can't really complain about the size issue. The one issue I would mention though is that the shoe laces that come with it, although rugged, are pretty terrible at holding when you lace up. They may just need some more breaking in, but I have already bought new shoelaces that contour and hold to the boot much more firmly without slipping. Cheers! ... show more

  • Quality
I bought them for the name and quality products. I was right, they are comfortable to be on all day and walking. They are well made holding up to daily use. I have a wide foot and they fit great! I would recommend them for light use since they are not steel toed.

  • 3/5 stars overall. You get what you pay for.
Size: 12 Color: Brown Oil Tanned Leather
I have had these boots for about 10 months now and have put together my below thoughts. My use for these boots: I work primarily in an office setting, but wear safety toe boots every weekday because I need them for visiting job sites and other areas for work where safety toe boots are required. I also wear these boots whenever I am tinkering around the house, or upfield hunting. My Initial thoughts: I had to buy a $15 pair of inserts about 2-4 weeks after buying them because they were that uncomfortable for myself without them. To be fair, I have wore Irish setter boots in the past, and after about 6-8 months I usually need the inserts for them as well, but with these Carhartt boots, it was almost immediate. With the inserts, the boots are fairly comfortable and I have no issue walking in them all day. The composite toe does feel like it is starting to dig into my toes slightly, but it is not painful or too uncomfortable at this point. I am sure if I were to wear these for another 6 months, it would get worse. My thoughts on the boots quality. The bottom of the boots are holding up really well. No punctures/holes, and the wear is very minimal - again keeping in mind that I wear these 75% of the time in an office setting - so that is to be somewhat expected. The laces are honestly garbage in my experience. They have broke on me in a few spots and I should have replaced them right away, but I just never did. The composite toe works definitely works. I had a large piece of plate steel fall onto the end of my boot and experienced no pain. The boot is separating slightly at the toe portion. I believe it is called the 'welt' (not 100% sure). It is not a stitched connection, so I was not surprised when I saw start to come apart at about 4 months. The sides of these boots are pretty thin. I have not experienced any holes in the sides, but if something sharp were to hit the sides of these boots where my toes were, I don't think it would have much trouble stabbing through the leather. My closing thoughts. At about 10 months, these boots are still kicking for me. I am going to buy some new laces (should cost about $10-$15) to extend the life of these boots by hopefully a few more months. If you are looking for a less expensive pair of boots like these, I think these are a decent option IF you have your expectations set correctly and you make a few modification right away. I would recommend buying a boot insert and new laces right away. So be prepared to spend about $25-$30 right off the bat. As far as expectations go, realize you are not buying the comfiest/best boots out there, but know that these are not going to fall apart on you right away and they won't kill your feet if you get an insert. I would imagine these boots would last someone in the trades 6 months to a year, and someone in my position 1 year - 1.5 years (with the modifications I suggested). For $125 ($155 w/ my recommended additions) these boots are just fine. ... show more
