These are honestly the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. You can rip the insoles out and replace as you like but the heavy rubber on the bottom has your knees in mind. I'm new to middle age at 34, but I've noticed a real difference between these and a pair of wolverines. They've heavier, sure, but you get he work truck version of a vehicle for your feet vs consumer. 10/10 ... show more

  • 1.5 Year Review
Size: 10 Color: Brown Oil Tanned Leather
I’ve worn these boots, working as a arborist, a landscaper, a carpenter, and an electrician. Since October 2021 (18months). I have replaced the laces on them, replaced the insoles twice, and greased them once. These boots held up well under consistently harsh conditions. Boots typically last for a year and these exceeded my 1 year expectations. The toes have held up well, and the outsoles have hardly worn. The leather has creased and started to tear just below the laces, and the rubber around the heel tore on just one boot. Also notable damage was on the right foot toe, where the leather tore away from the outsole. These boots held up well, and have outlived their usefulness. If I had grease the boots more often, i may have slowed the leather tears, but the rubber heel tear was unavoidable. Good for walking through forests, not good for standing on hard surfaces. ... show more

Size: 10 Color: Brown Oil Tanned Leather
These boots are amazing! I spent 5 years in the military and having to wear only a certain brand of boots messed my feet up and started making them flat. I tried all different kinds of boots after i got out. Even ranging all the way up to Double Hs and redwings. I was kinda skeptical on how long they would last working in aviation and around fuels and oils all the time but they surprising lasted longer than I thought they would. Overall these are the most comfortable boots and I'll be ordering another pair in case they decide to discontinue these. They are not waterproof but if your standing in a shallow puddle you'll be alright. The composite toe is much lighter than steal. Update...I had to warranty the first pair of boots because the sole was starting to fall apart. I contacted carhartt and they have a 1 year warranty against defects but it has to be through the company that you bought them from (amazon). Amazon was great about the return no questions asked after i plead my case they sent brand new boots with 2 day shipping. Now if these boots fail again in a short amount of time I wont be buying these again. They are still great boots and very comfortable just a little squeaky being rubber soles ... show more

  • Best boots I’ve ever bought!
Size: 11 Wide Color: Brown Oil Tanned Leather
I have had these boots for almost 6 months now and they are still in great shape. I am Food Service Technician, so I don’t go easy on boots. Boots I’ve had in the past were in terrible shape at this point. The fitment is perfect, I ordered them with box toe and wide and they fit the shape of my feet. Arch support is spot on and feet and lower back feel good all day. The non-slip has prevented a lot of falls since I work on slippery floors more often than not. Boot feels light since it is composite toe. 10/10 would recommend if your are looking for durable, affordable boots. ... show more

  • Doesn't play well with all day concrete-walking
Size: 10 Wide Color: Brown Oil Tanned Leather
This is my 1st pair of Carhartt boots, thought I would give them a go; I'm a HS shop-teacher and walk on concrete floors 0700-1600hrs. The boots were great for several weeks, then, well: The left boot started to squeak with every step, the arch support and insoles started to thin, exposing the fact that the soles do not have enough give, leaving my feet aching at the end of the day, and then, the right boot started to squeak with every step, too. And here, a little less than seven-months post purchase, I have been looking for replacement insoles for my aching feet -- then realized: "No, regardless of relieving my foot pain, I am no longer going to walk around with a mouse in my pocket that makes its presence know to anyone within a 30-ft radius, with Every Step I Make" and will instead look for a new pair of boots. Seven-months later, mind you! Conversely, the construction of the boot is solid, they fit great, the width, which is hard for me to find in most brands, is very good. And I will keep them for working in my garage or around the yard. However, I cannot keep wearing them daily at work will go with a different brand; one that I have worn before, in my 30-plus years of industrial work on concrete floors. Sorry, Carhartt, you really should work on the soles a little bit for those of us that walk miles of concrete every day for a living... but, hey, I love your work pants, socks, and shirts, still... ... show more

  • Good fit with thick socks
Size: 9 Wide Color: Brown Oil Tanned Leather
Thank goodness wide width is an option for these boots, the women's version of the same boot does not have wide widths, boo. Boots fit good with a pair of thick socks.
