The 8" height, Oil Tanned Leather, Storm Defender waterproof membrane and 400g 3M Thinsulate insulation all work together to keep you safe and dry. Cement constructed with Carhartt rubber Rugged Flex outsole and five layers of cushion keep you comfortable all day. Composite safety toe is ASTM 2413-11 EH Rated.

I will be the first to admit that when I typically buy something I need I go with the cheapest possible solution. There are exceptions to this but footwear has never been one of them. I work on a farm so my boots take a beating. Usually I can get about a year out of a $60 pair from walmart. This year however my new pair didn't even make it a year, the interiors wore out and I was getting blisters and places wear it was rubbed raw on my feet. So I gave in, did some research into some more quality boots and gave these a shot. I have bought Carhartt coats and hats before and know what a quality brand they are. I will go beyond saying that these are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn and say that they are the most comfortable footwear I have ever owned. Even when I put gel insoles into the other shoes/boots. I've already put them through some paces testing out the waterproofing and composite toe and they did not disappoint. My feet remained dry and safe. When combined with a pair of the Carhartt Men's Force socks they feel amazing. I worked a 13 hour shift doing a multitude of things and being on my feet all day. Climbing on and off trailers for a good 7 of those hours. And ONLY THEN did my feet really start to bother me at all, my feet would have been dying by the end of that in my old boots. If these last for a few years then I definitely know what my next pair of boots will be. ... show more

I work in a refrigerated warehouse (35°) and these are the perfect boots. Just bought my second pair, the first lasting about 4 years. Composite toe, insulated, oil resistant, slip resistant, self cleaning lugs, waterproof, carhartt tough, these are the best boots around for the price. The grip could be better, but it's a fair tradeoff. These don't take very long to break in and I honestly find these more comfortable than my Nike running shoes. My husband liked that they protected his ankles and keep his feet warm during the winter season. They are good for construction/ laborers workers, he had them for two years so far. They fit snug while still stylish!

My significant other is the hardest person I have ever met on shoes. I bought a pair of these for him over a year ago. Just had to buy him another pair. These work boots are a little pricey but well worth it. They can take a betting from him they are very well made boots. Saved me money in the long run. Would recommend these boots to anyone!! Very comfortable! These are a great pair of boots - I typically wear Timberland Pitbosses, Irish Setters, Danners and some others, however, I am impressed with the fit and comfort of these Carhartts - just as good as the aforementioned boots. Nice features too - insulated, waterproof, soles have good grip and overall, they look pretty good. As for a sizing reference, I wear 10.5D in sneakers (Nike, UA, NB, Asics - sneakers typically run small) and a 10D when boots fit as expected. ... and these do. A perfect secure fit while still having some wiggle room thanks to a larger toe box. All in all, a solid boot that is very comfortable. Thumbs up! ... show more

As a beekeeper I need to place straps around my pants over the boot. These high top boots are perfect for my needs. The fit and comfort is amazing. I had the med-hight boots from the same company and they last for many years. I am sure these will too.
