I got these boots after getting another pair from another manufacturer that were supposed to be better boots that didn’t fit my heel at all. These are much more comfortable you don’t slip in the heel like the other ones did. My coworker and friend has several pairs of these that he has worn in the past and seems to get some pretty good life out of them. Some of the reviews will talk about the souls wearing out, which I can’t speak to personally, but something should be kept in mind…These are anti-slip boots. So the rubber is not going to be a very hard rubber. Still, my friend got two years or more out of his working every day on the job so I’m not gonna complain. These things are very comfortable and take almost 0 break In. The lacing is pretty straightforward. There’s only one of those hook things on the very top and it is very nicely shaped so that it doesn’t wear out your laces like many of them do. I personally don’t cinch it up very tightly around the ankle because it does add a bit of pressure to that area for me at least. These are way more comfortable than all of the Red Wings I tried on. I just couldn’t find any Red Wings that I thought would work for me despite really wanting to have a pair. Nice thing about these boots is that they don’t have any heel on them so for ladder work, and walking rooftops and such they are much safer and you can kind of feel what you’re doing more. Perhaps right out of the box they feel a bit stiffer, but that very quickly goes away. I’m pretty happy with the purchase, for half a day‘s wages, I’m not going to begrudge anything. Well worth it in my opinion. Way better than those crappy cheap boots where the bottom peels off. I’ve had way too many of those. You’ll probably buy five or six pair of those in the time it takes one of these to wear out. Finally, I’ve been spraying them off with a water hose after working with concrete all day, and yes the waterproofing seems to be working. Weather appears to be holding up well so far and it’s nice and soft. Size wise I would order true to your foot. I started off going with a 13 and edit up ordering a size down. Actually mine is a Wide to accommodate my wide feet, and they do that nicely. Worst case scenario, you don’t like them, you can return them. It’s pretty simple to do, and I had to do that with my first pair because they were too big. So no worries there.

Comfortable and well constructed. They're well insulated which prevents comfortable use during the summer months. I would defeatedly recommend as the boot is extremely comfortable. Wore them up north in sub 20 degree weather. Zero water intrusion, and my feet remained nice and toasty. Half the price of RW and other well known boot manufacturers.

Too soon to write a meaningful review, I'll update after 3 months of work use. I do want to comment that fit is 1/2 size too big, width is just right or just slightly on the narrow side. This is fine, I feel that they will break in comfortably over time. My initial thought on quality, they are exactly what I expected. Th sole seems as though it will be far more durable than my wedge Red Wings. The inner sole is comfortable without too much cushion.

These boots are great. They look sharp, fit well, and are great for work or other activities. I bought them for work, but find myself wearing them for everyday things too. They clean up well, I’ve noticed slight discoloration on the sole from mud, but it’s not too bad at all.

I purchased these boots for heavy construction work. They fit true to size and have plenty of room for the toes (I did purchase the wide size). The boots were comfortable from day one and felt light on my feet. I own other Carhartt boots but these quickly became my favorite pair due to how comfortable they are. The soles wore out rather quickly as it is a soft sole. I’m sure they would have lasted longer in a different work environment. Seems pricing has almost doubled since I originally purchased them so I probably won’t purchase at the new price point.

I’ve worn them every day or every other day for two years. Worn out the sole. Still plenty of life left in the boot. Buying another pair. If you’re shopping for this style, go for it.

These don't measure up to American made boots, but with a good insole they are decent. I wouldn't recommend these for use as real work boots, but more for chores/casual use.
