Maybe its because its smaller than I figured it would be, it does work but I feel like the surface that does on the glass to clean could be thicker felt.. there are two sides, one it like velcro that I use if the algae is thick the other is like felt that I mostly use that side. just seems like you have to go over the spots to get any of it off.
