The description said they would replace the bent carefree arms on our 96 motorhome, looked like they were exact replacement but after putting the new awning on and setting the tension on the end caps, the two pieces did not slip together properly. I had to get out a file and try to figure out what to file while still holding the tension. Eventually I was able the hammer them on with a rubber dead blow mallet. Lesson -make sure all parts fit before you commit. I would have ordered new end cap/springs also, before trying to do it my self if I would have realized they weren't going to fit. ... show more

    • The set was an easy install and I now have a working awning.
We have a 2002 Jayco camper, and last year a freak wind storm bent my awning poles and have to admit Carefree of Colorado website was not very helpful in trying to identify replacement. RV YouTube videos finally gave the correct info. Amazon shipped the set and I was able to replace them myself with ease. Thank you...the awning works great. ... show more

    • didnt work with our current awning anyway and ended up bent
I wish these would have worked. They are not the most sturdy and ended up bending when trying to pull the awning down the first time. Now they are bent and cant be returned anyway. Also unless you have the right pieces for the cap on the top they wont work either.

These awning arms were a perfect match, easy install, looks nice, now awning in good working order again, 1998 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. I recommend if you have spirit or fiesta awning, Carefree of Cali.

    • Fast but cheap
You get what you pay for it I found these cheaper than any other set fast shipping and I was in a hurry. Easy to install but the first pull of the slide handle and snapped and I have to almost manually roll the awning in myself by hand but it holds it up and out the way.
