We were getting tired of yelling at each other in our side by side so we finally bought two of these. I was about to stuff them back in the box because I could not pair them with blue tooth. Do not try to use the code scan thingy on your instructions to get an app or go to Apple Store for it. They are terrible. Go to Cardo website and download it. Then it works well and they pair up. When I tested these out I was 100' from my wife running my wood splitter and she could barely hear it when I talked. They are great in the buggy. Ok, we all know they are insanely expensive. Now that is out of the way. They performed as advertised. We took them on a 200-mile hard and dusty off-road trail in Northern Arizona. They significantly reduced the engine and road noise while giving us complete clarity in the intercom discussions. Easy to understand directions and fast re-charge. They were covered in road dust and did not let us down. Of all the recently purchased items for our X3 these headphones were hands down the best buy. Did I mention they were expensive? We have watched the tutorial on You Tube several times, and connecting these head sets is way too complicated. It takes us about an hour trying different methods to pair them before we accidentally get them to work. We have 4 headsets and have never been able to get all 4 paired. When we do get two of them paired the speakers cutout very often, so you cannot understand what your rider is saying to you. We have another brand that we use for biking, and they pair every time without any problem, and the sound is way better. ... show more

Best purchase I’ve ever made. Not only do they work great on our UTV/side-by-side, but I actually use it on my riding lawnmower cutting grass and am able to listen to music or talk on the phone with no issue. I would highly recommend.

It’s an easy option that functions well. A nice addition to my UTV which can be loud enough to make cabin conversations difficult. The headphones do seem tight but not impossible to wear for an hour or two. The Bluetooth features seem fussy. And when you turn them on you get told to connect to the app. This isn’t necessary to use as an intercom. There is about a 1/4 second delay in voice. You only notice when looking at each other while talking. I suspect that delay is part why they opted not to provide any sidetone (hearing your own voice through the headset). This would make conversation more natural but not critical. The biggest issue is the price of admission. A pair is just under a grand but you really aren’t getting that much technology out of them. And if you need more than that the benefits do not triple. I wish I could find a simpler solution that costs less but there really aren’t better options. Pros -excellent battery life -good voice quality -well built -good range -possibly the easiest solution available Cons -expensive -a fair amount of delay in voice communication -non-intuitive controls (need to keep your manual handy) -no sidetone of your own voice, so conversation doesn’t sound as natural ... show more

Confusing to use. Radio came on out of the blue while out and about. Had to totally shut them off to get rid of it. trouble syncing just the 2 headsets together. Did not quite function as we thought they would. Not worth the $$

I had 2 cardo Freecom 2x's I needed to add a 3rd device to talk to all three. The freecom 2x's were on helmets but the 3rd was going to be a headset. I first bought a Sena product because it was not an earmuff style setup. Well that didnt work. Could only connect to one cardo at a time and was a pain in the but. So then I got a Sena Mesh adapter and that didnt work. So I email Cardo. Told them my issue and they not only told me what to get but sent a diagram on how to set it up. Step by step. The Talkpack headset is great! worked first time when I followed the instructions (LOL). Now they will need to be broken in but my wife who will be wearing them said it fine out of the box. I have used these on several rides over the past few months. The batteries last all day (10 hours plus). They reduce the noise from my Rzr almost completely, and the music sounds great. Easy to use, easy to pair to android. Easy to clean after very dusty, rides.
