This comes in two separate shipments: the outer frame and the inner supports and slats. I ordered the Cal King in almond. It was darker than I thought it would be but I was happier with the darker color. Originally they shipped a king frame with the cal king inner supports. I emailed them and they quickly sent out a new outer frame which arrived within the week. This seller was very responsive and had great customer service. It is very supportive and no creaking or movement, even though the inner legs don’t tighten as tight as I thought they should. Maybe it actually helps with the movement and support, I’m not sure. Choice Queen, Walnut. Not as medium brown as pictured. A bit darker and more matte stain. Delivery Arrived in one week from the order date. The 103 pound box was too heavy to move by myself, so I opened the box in the lobby downstairs and took the pieces up to my apartment in batches. Given the size and weight, a return was unlikely unless absolutely necessary. Why Buy It is an all wood bed without a metal support beam in the middle (which has been known to warp and destroy people's floors). It is sturdy and easy to assemble/disassemble (which is key for young people who move often). I had a $80 coupon that significantly reduced the price. Cost: $358 (no tax, free shipping). Pre-Assembly I wrapped the ends of the unfinished wood support pieces in masking tape to prevent squeaking, chipping, and to ensure a snug fit. This is tedious, but worth it in the long run. I took breaks when I became bored. Also tape the ends of the middle support beam and the inside groove of the two middle support legs. It'll make for a quieter, more secure bed. After this, assembly is a breeze. Assembly Time: 10-15 minutes. The wooden frame may not want to hook in easily at first, but stay with it and make sure the corners are neatly aligned. They will hook in. As for screwing the middle support legs into the middle, I found those legs to be wider than the bean itself. There was a gap even after everything was screwed in and the middle legs were still a bit moveable. Not overly concerned as they are meant for additional support, if needed. Damage/Irregularities (Three photos included.) 1) Noticeable, sizable cosmetic chipping on two of the external bed frame pieces. 2) I also noticed a deep crack in the wood corner where one bed frame hooks in. I hope there aren't structural problems in the future. 3) Some of the support slats had irregular edges and benefitted from getting wrapped in masking tape. One bar was so irregular it never really fit flush into any slot, so I put it on an edge closest to the external bed frame where it wouldn't receive as much stress compared to the middle. ... show more

It was easy to assemble. Does nor crack or make noise, super sturdy. It was delivered in two long boxes. I ordered the King Cal and it fit perfectly. The color Almond is a little darker than the picture which is perfect for me because it fits my mid century modern furniture.

A little disappointed, the color is not as advertised it's a beige-tinged light brown fully painted, not at all whitewashed, sturdiness ok, and the center pillar wobbles, the center piece/pillar should fit more snugly in my opinion but still provides support, this was for a guest room, it ok but consider other options if available. Easy to install. Each part doesn't fit together as well as it should. One corner of the main bed frame wouldn't seat all the way. The center support arms holding up the beams are cut a little too long so the wood beams holding the small cross pieces float above the bed frame instead of resting on the frame. ... show more
