I purchased this chassis to replace my damaged stock TT02b stock chassis as the description indicated the TT02b was compatible. I did notice that it also suggested that the TT02 was more compatible in a loosely worded way but I took the chance and ordered it anyway. First I will say the quality is pretty good for everything that was included so this is not an issue with poor quality or manufacturing defects or inconsistencies. For me this is an issue with a rather blatant false compatibility statement. The instructions are very poor but I was able to work through it well enough. Additionally there was not nearly enough chamfered screws included in the kit to place where the instructions indicated. If that was the only issue I would easily give this kit at least 4/5 stars since there were enough regular screws to make up for it even if that was not preferred you can at least get it together. My issue is that there is no way to attach the lower suspension arms from the TT02b (front or rear) onto this chassis. This is a huge incompatibility issue. At the very least for this chassis to be considered compatible with the TT02b there should be instructions for the conversion from stock to this chassis. If additional parts are required for models other than the TT02 then those parts should be listed in the description at the very least or in the instructions. The front and rear differential housing have additional tapped untapped holes for what I assume is how the TT02 lower suspension arms can be mounted. But it uses a completely different mounting method as the lower suspension arms on the TT02 do not use a shaft where the TT02b does. I have posted a question here about this which is a duplicate of another unanswered question from someone else that has never been answered. I will be manufacturing my own design parts to mount the TT02b lower suspension arms to this frame simply because I can but for anyone who can’t do that do not purchase this chassis for the TT02b unless you plan to convert it to the non buggy TT02 model and want to buy the missing parts. If the seller responds to assist in resolving the issue I will update my review to reflect the outcome. However, in order to prevent someone else ordering this for anything other than the TT02 (not TT02b) I will leave this review at 1/5 stars unless better information is provided for what is required to make this chassis fully compatible with the TT02b.

My Product Review for: Carbon Lower Deck Upgrade Case for Tamiya (Sold by RcAidong) I finally had the opportunity to thoroughly review the Carbon Lower Deck Upgrade Case purchased through my Amazon account, and I have mixed feelings about this kit. I had fairly high expectations going into it. Packaging & Initial Impression The packaging was fairly standard. Nothing stood out as premium, but it was acceptable. The bags and overall presentation were “okay” and did not raise immediate concerns. Hardware Quality The hardware itself was actually very good. Fasteners were consistent, properly sized, and clean. From a purely hardware standpoint, there’s little to complain about—this was one of the strongest aspects of the kit. Blue Aluminum Components The blue aluminum parts appeared functional, but the finish left me unconvinced. They look as though they went straight from the machine shop to a dye bath. Whether they are truly anodized or simply dyed is unclear, but the finish does not inspire confidence in long-term durability or wear resistance. Carbon Fiber Components This is where my biggest concerns lie. I’ve had extensive exposure to high-quality composite structures through the aviation industry, and these parts do not appear to be carbon fiber throughout. They look more like a sandwich construction with a 2-harness carbon weave on the top and bottom layers, with what appears to be black fiberglass or filler material in between. I cannot confidently say these are true, full-carbon laminate parts. Instructions The instructions are severely lacking. While an experienced builder can likely figure things out, this kit offers very little guidance. For a structural chassis component, clearer documentation would be expected. Overall Assessment Could I make this kit work? Yes. Am I convinced it delivers the value or quality implied by its description? No. Recommendation Score On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 = not at all, 10 = absolutely), I would rate this kit a 3.

I ordered this and it came it right away. I ordered from here as it turned out to be cheaper than ebay. Anyhow, I've ordered this for my TT-02 SR that I've been turning into a monster speed run car. I am impressed with the quality so far. The tolerances are tight. I'm even having to recheck my set up for it. My plastic chassis was loose, flexed a bit with the large electronics and ended with a crack running along the reinforcement veins in the front section of the car. So getting everything tight is actually a good thing as it hits 100+mph. It'll make making adjustments that I might need more concise later on. The thick carbon deck really doesn't flex much. I can see it working for a light weight track car as well. The diff housings are a nice solid touch and even seem to be closer to the Tamiya blue than other hop-ups. Anyhow I'm currently swapping parts over and test fitting the components as I rebuild the car. I'm excited and impressed enough to actually write a review. I will update with progress and/or issues but I can say I am trying to order another 1 or 2 more as I get this sorted and tested. I think I'd like to build one as track car to see how it compares handling wise and I've been planning a front motor rwd drift car. I enjoy building. (And apparently typing too much) Initial reaction says buy this. I'll confirm as I build and drive.

Crappy! Missing pieces! Spur gear wobbles all over the place

I purchased this to replace the stock plastic lower deck on my TT02R. I had built a speed run car and found the stock lower deck limited me on pinion size without modifications and was honestly just too brittle. I had tried other products from rcaidong and they were very good (see the upper chassis brace and battery hold down in the pics). The milling on the carbon fiber is top quality and there are no sharp edges or splintering. The weave is also uniform (that means the carbon fiber was done correctly). The holes on the bottom are countersunk so your bolts don’t snag on stuff going down the street. The directions are in steps and very clear as well. The chassis was very easy to build and I had no fitment issues with any of my parts including the hop up parts. All the parts that should be threaded were and there were no issues there. I have installed on this a 60t spur and 40t pinion and this car is fast!! The added stiffness of this carbon fiber chassis actually helps the car track better and there is less play in my control arms as well. The car feels so much more planted and honestly the difference between the stock lower deck and this is night and day… this is sooo much better!! If you are on the fence about this, don’t be. Just buy it and thank me later

Some of the machined aluminum holes never got threaded so one diff doesn’t quite sit properly. Tried to send it back and would not replace item and didn’t find out until I’ve had everything fit to it so now to tear everything apart and return the whole thing for 2 holes not threaded. Still can’t get the seller to respond to me. I’m done with this manufacturer/reseller.
