Keeping in mind I got these for guests and paid $7 there is little to complain about. There is zero texture and i kinda doubt there is actual carbon fiber at all. Basic paddle well worth $15-20 and they play fine.

Was a bit surprised by this paddle...At close to $100 i was expecting a bit more. The head of the paddle is quite narrow, the narrowest I've ever seen on a paddle in fact. And what's more, the lower part of the paddle is actually narrower than the top--I thought it was an illusion but I measured it! This isn't a good or bad thing, I just thought I would mention it. Main thing: The paddle feels a bit 'off' in your hand...It has a long grip, with a sort of wide cap on the end of it, which actually felt good, as if it would help keep the paddle from slipping out of your hand--that's nice. But along with that, the grip actually feels cheap in a way...It's hard to put my finger on, but it almost feels like the grip is weak and will break off, and it feels like you're holding a square grip instead of other paddles I've played with which feel more rounded. Each player may or may not like that... The paddle face is quite smooth, I'm not sure if I'd say the 90/100 spin rating is warranted...And it really advertises its ability to produce a spin on the ball, it's even written on the paddle itself...I'm no expert, but it seems almost as smooth as other paddles I've played with--perhaps it has a bit more ability to produce a spin but doesn't seem like much more to me than other paddles I've tried. And with all that said: I bet there is someone out there who would like this paddle, with its good sweet-spot and long handle with the cap on the end, but for most players I think it will feel a bit 'off'. I still give it 4 stars because when it comes down to actually hitting the ball it feels really good! You can get a good strike on the ball with minimal effort, and I just wish the grip felt better and stronger because this paddle had the potential to be a great one for me.

I ordered these tournament edition carbon fiber paddles and have been nothing but in love with them since the arrived. I'm not well versed on pickleball paddles and what makes them of worst or best quality, but I have to say these have held up through two seasons of me attempting to learn the sport of pickleball. They are super easy to hold onto and have a great grip. I've had no issue with them slipping out of my hand when they competitive edge starts to come out. They absorb the shock of the ball nicely and have stated in great shape. Last but not least they are fairly lightweight and I can't beat the carrying case they come in. I'd sat fir a beginner like me they are a great buy.
