    • Needs extra support on horizontal pipe connections, and came with wrong parts.
I thought purchasing the "premium" cover would get a more sturdy product, but I was wrong. The white plastic covered metal tubing looks to be very very similar to EMT conduit. I have had the car port cover for about 1-1/2 years. The box it was delivered in was damaged upon receipt. The cardboard box it came in was not strong enough for the weight of all the support tubes. Additionally, the kit came with wrong tubes/parts. I left a message through amazon to seller about wrong parts and never received a reply. I was able to "fix" the wrong pipe and make it work. I had one horizontal connection fail in medium wind with out extra support from PVC sleeve. The horizontal connections are the weak link and failure point. Per another reviewer suggestion, I used 1-1/4" PVC pipe from the electrical department of home improvement center. The gray electrical pipe is UV resistant where the white water pipe is not. I used approximately 2 feet length sections as sleeves over the horizontal connections, and screwed them in place. Overall, after I made the modifications...it is an OK product now. I really wish the manufacturer would used these sleeves instead of the quick disconnect push buttons. The push buttons are fine if setting up and taking down for special events, but for long term use it really needs extra sleeve supports on horizontal connections. edit 2020-02-03 We had some more wind...where I didn't re-enforce the poles they bent and failed terribly. 50% of structure will have to be repaired and replaced. I am now spending more money repairing than if I would have purchased a better product. edit 2021-10-06 I have now spent more money repairing and replacing poles than if I had just bought another new one. ... show more

finally - an affordable "garage". rather easy to assemble (and dis-assemble repeatedly for hurricanes). the cover has held up great with at least 3 assembly/dis-assemblies in the last year. we screwed the feet into the driveway which helps with the stability. have had some pretty substantial wind gusts and it's held up just fine. highly recommend! ... show more

easy to put-up. for the price i think its alright . im missing 2 tie-downs , maybe the company will them them to me. only time will tell how well it will hold up ! i installed cross ropes on the frame for support under the canopy , also to help hold canopy up so rain water doesn't collect , and pull the canopy inwards. the ropes cross each section in both direction. ... show more
