  • Great Product with Easy Installation
Size: 7 inch
This is honestly an incredible deal! I am just a girl✨ with little mechanical experience and I was able to install this radio in my boyfriend’s 2013 VW Jetta in under an hour! The finished product looks so clean! The installation was a breeze and the kit included two different harnesses and a variety of wiring options, which allows the product to fit on a many vehicle types. My 2013 Jetta was not included in the provided list of vehicles compatible with this product, but it ended up being a perfect fit! Before and after photos included! ... show more

  • Linux OS Radio Upgrade with Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and Physical Controls
I installed the 7-inch version of this radio in a 2007 VW Jetta as a replacement for the original factory unit. Removing the old radio and getting this one installed was pretty decent overall. It is designed for quite a few Volkswagen Group vehicles, including various years of the Jetta, Golf, Passat, Polo, Tiguan, Touran, Caddy, EOS, Scirocco and others, along with several Seat and Skoda models. Obviously, I would still check the specific year and model before ordering because wiring and factory options can vary. One detail worth pointing out is that this radio runs on the Linux operating system, not Android. That distinction can easily be missed with these aftermarket radios. You aren't buying an Android tablet-style head unit where you install Android apps directly onto the radio. Instead, the Linux-based radio provides its own interface and relies heavily on Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for smartphone apps and navigation. The product listing specifically confirms Linux as the operating system. It supports both wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. Once connected to a phone, you can use compatible phone functions such as navigation, music, calls, contacts and messaging through the radio's display. That's really the feature that brings an older car like my 2007 Jetta into a much more current setup. An interesting part of the 7-inch version is the combination of touchscreen and physical controls. You get the touchscreen for CarPlay, Android Auto and menus, but there are also actual push buttons along both sides plus two rotary knobs. I like this combination. Touchscreens are useful for maps and menus, while having a real volume knob and buttons means I don't have to do everything through the screen while driving. There is also Bluetooth, FM radio with station scanning and presets, adjustable EQ settings and USB connectivity. Compatible installations can retain steering-wheel controls through the supplied CANBUS/interface wiring. The supplied information specifically points out the importance of connecting the 8-pin cable with the radio for steering-wheel controls and certain vehicle information, so that is something to pay attention to during installation. You get quite a few accessories in the package as well. Mine included the power/wiring harnesses, CANBUS box, RCA harness, CarPlay USB cable, media USB cable, radio antenna adapter, external microphone and rear backup camera along with the camera connection cable. There is obviously a fair amount of wiring to fit behind the radio, so I found it worthwhile to organize everything before pushing the unit completely into the dash. The included rear camera is another nice part of the upgrade. Once wired in, the radio provides the display when backing up and shows parking guidelines. For an older vehicle that didn't originally have a backup-camera display, having the camera included rather than needing to purchase one separately adds some value. I noticed… the Linux operating system is probably the biggest thing buyers should understand. This isn't an Android head unit despite supporting Android Auto. For me that's not necessarily a negative since most of what I want to do goes through CarPlay or Android Auto anyway, but someone specifically wanting an Android-based radio with downloadable apps could be disappointed if they don't notice the distinction. Also, even though the compatibility list is extensive, I wouldn't assume every listed vehicle will have an identical plug-and-play installation. Overall, this made a nice upgrade to my 2007 Jetta. Installation was reasonably straightforward, it looks appropriate in the factory dash, and I like having modern touchscreen features without giving up physical knobs and buttons. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, FM, USB, steering-wheel-control support and an included backup camera cover most of what I wanted from an updated radio. The 7-inch Linux version I have is $129.99, while a 9-inch version is also offered at $149.99. Currently Priced at $129.99 ... show more

  • Surprising!
Wait… this is real, right? I’m not in some low-level vr movie where everything looks just a little too perfect? Because this display—seriously—it’s so vivid and responsive I half expected it to start reading my thoughts. I actually did consider pinching myself, just to be sure. Once I got past that initial disbelief, I started noticing how smoothly everything flows. The interface feels… intuitive in a way that’s almost hard to explain. Like it meets you halfway before you even realize what you’re trying to do. It’s clean, calm, no clutter of design. I appreciate that. Installation, though—okay, reality check. The instructions are a bit all over the place. Not terrible, just… not as clear as everything else about this device. I had a couple moments where I had to stop and think it through, maybe trust my instincts more than the manual one why installer with ask me a question about installation. Still, it came together without too much trouble. The sound surprised me in a different way. It’s warm, immersive—sometimes really impressive, like it pulls you into whatever you’re listening to. A few moments where it doesn’t quite hit that same level, but honestly, I was enjoying it too much to dwell on that for long. Connectivity? No issues. It just works, which, let’s be honest, feels like a minor miracle sometimes. And overall, there’s this sense that the whole system was designed with actual care—not just function, but experience. So no, I’m not dreaming. I checked. It’s just… really good. Better than I expected, better than it probably needs to be. Five stars. And yeah—I’m still a little surprised about it. ... show more

  • Lots of features in a small package, but way too cheap?
This is my second small touchscreen car radio review and the rating is mainly based off of the price again. 3 stars only due to time could tell if this radio will last and this review is a at first glance of this stereo with not a long period of time to give a durability and longevity of the stereo. Being SO cheap in cost but packed with so much technology, the overall quality has to be questioned and how long will it actually last. It’s strength is therefore it’s weakness. It is an overwhelming excellent price point for all that you get and I do like this single din height stereo and its functions and I’ll let you know why. My point-of-view review: First in general let me explain why I love all these touchscreen “tablet-ish” car stereos with a little background on my experiences in the past. I’ve been around a long time with being a car stereo enthusiast who always upgraded whatever car I had since the late 80’s up until around 2010 when I didn’t need to upgrade them myself anymore (OEM systems got better). I always added a sub with separate amp to my systems and in the latter years looked for decks that had a touchscreen and GPS maps included. In general, the reason I love these Android Auto/Apple Carplay touchscreen “table” like car stereos is they remind me of the efforts I put into my first new car I bought in 2006 and when I removed the double din stock stereo and glued in a 7” touchscreen monitor and hooked it up to a small mini-itx Windows XP computer (mounted in a custom car case under the passenger seat) and even had a USB GPS receiver running Microsoft maps (yep, old stuff) taped to my dashboard. The setup was complex but now all that I did back then is wrapped up in these very inexpensive touchscreen car stereos that are super compact and have a lot more functionality. Technology finally caught up. Now this specific Cogamichi single din Android Auto and Apple CarPlay car stereo has a slim single din profile. You don’t want to take up too much room but want a useful touchscreen radio/stereo that acts like a tablet then this is perfect for your car upgrade. The wires are simple and easy to install if you’re a DIY type. If you have ever installed a car stereo before, this is even easier. Instructions are easy to follow and the wire diagram and wires are clearly labelled. It comes packed with everything you’ll ever want in a car stereo including: • GPS antenna and cable • Rear view 4K camera with wires for routing (although I doubt it is 4K but regular 1080P is perfect anyways) • 2X USB-A ports in the front and also a USB-C port. • Old School microphone for voice commands. • Bluetooth connection for phone calls and audios streaming. • The usual tablet functions you find on most tablets. • Extra bonus: Physical button for volume and selection control on the upper left. Physical buttons are what a lot of the usual “tablet” style car stereos usually lack. Overall, I like it and basically any inexpensive tablet style car stereo. For the super cheap price, it is worth a try. One downfall is that it doesn’t have RCA outputs to add in additional amps and speakers. At this price though, don’t expect too much. ... show more

  • Great for slightly older cars with the single din slot
I’ve been looking into this 6.9 Inch Single Din Touchscreen Radio as a replacement for the factory unit in my 2003 Saleen Mustang, and it’s a great way to bring modern tech into a classic cabin without having to hack up the dashboard. Modern Tech in a Single Din Package The best thing about this unit is that it packs a huge 6.9-inch screen into a standard single-din slot. Since the '03 Mustangs have that specific dash layout, this allows you to have Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without needing a double-din conversion kit. It’s a massive upgrade for navigation and music, making an older car feel brand new the second you turn the key. Features for the Modern Driver Wireless Connectivity: You can leave your phone in your pocket; it connects via WiFi and Bluetooth automatically, so your maps and tunes are ready to go as soon as you start the engine. AHD Backup Camera Included: Mustangs from that era aren't the easiest to see out of the back. This kit comes with a high-definition waterproof camera that triggers when you hit reverse, adding a huge layer of safety and convenience. Crystal Clear Display: The IPS touchscreen is bright and responsive. It handles glare well, which is important if you’re driving with the top down or in bright sunlight. Built for Better Sound Even though I focused on the tech, the audio quality gets a boost too. It has built-in FM/AM/RDS and decent internal power to wake up those factory speakers. The interface is clean and easy to use, so you aren't fumbling with menus while trying to enjoy the drive. The Honest Breakdown Pros: Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto is a game-changer; large screen fits in a small dash opening; includes a backup camera. Cons: Because the screen is so large, it might block some of your vents or buttons depending on exactly how it sits in the Mustang’s dash. You'll want to double-check the clearance around your AC controls before the final install. Summary: Why it's a good value This stereo is an excellent value because it provides a complete infotainment upgrade for a fraction of the cost of name-brand units. You're getting the wireless connectivity, a large touchscreen, and a backup camera all in one package, making it the most cost-effective way to modernize your car's interior while keeping the install relatively simple. The Bottom Line: My Final Take Whether I’m wiring up DIY boomboxes or upgrading a classic ride, I love gear that adds modern convenience to older setups. This head unit is a winner—it’s functional, looks sharp, and brings your single-din car into the 21st century. Just like the braided cables or the 90-degree latch on my shed, it’s a smart upgrade that makes every drive a lot more enjoyable. ... show more

  • Take note of compatible cars! Compatibility w/ existing devices seamless, connected all the dots!
Quality deck with easy to follow instructions. My biggest feedback to you, is be mindful of the compatible factory consoles- the makes/models of the cars DO matter in order to experience the easy version of this installation. This can be plug and play with the mentioned models. You can install on other consoles, but it will take MUCH more time, attention, and patience! I did not pay attention to the details- I jumped on it based on aesthetic & ended up with a project that defeated the entire purpose of what this unit was built for- simplicity! So, it isn't a total loss but it was not meant to be a pain. The screen is large enough to make a difference- not so big it becomes a distraction. The touch screen is super responsive as well. The lay out mimics the IOS template & is very easy to navigate. Seamless connection to my back up camera I already had installed. Seamless connection to the rearview camera & GPS previously installed as well. Although I made it harder on myself, it was worth the time it took! ... show more

  • Works well and much better than the one I had
I got this car display and radio to replace the one on my car mainly because the one I had was old, didn't support wireless android auto and didn't have as many features. I had to buy a mount adapter for a one bin radio since mine was 2 bins, but after I got my mechanic to install it suing the adapter, it worked perfectly. The quality of the screen is much better than the one I had, although it is smaller it has much better colors and brightness. The controls are easy to use and responsive. Touch works well, the USB provide the power as expected. Everything just works. The UI is intuitive although on rare occations it is just a tiny bit slow. The camera works perfectly and the wireless android auto as well which is everything I needed. After the cost of installation and hastle I'm still not entirely sure it was worth it, but as a product it worked well enough for me not to remove any star. Overall I recommend it. ... show more
