This item is labeled as able to work with the 2006 Acura RSX but that is incorrect as the RSX has a safety feature that kicks all of the keys off while learning. This keyfob doesn’t posses some sort of vital transponder that disables the car from learning in aftermarket fobs. Trash plastic too. Very cheap ... show more

It worked great in our Acura MDX 2003. Instructions that came together said that it would not allow us to program by ourselves but it worked following these steps: Within 5 seconds - turn ignition key on position, press and release unlock key on key fob then turn key to lock (inserted) - do it 3 times. - Within 5 seconds turn the ignition to on position again, press and release the unlock on the key fob (same one). Power door locks will cycle confirming the programming mode on. Within 10 seconds - Press and release the unlock button on the same key fob. Door lock should cycle again to confirm the fob was accepted. - Do the same in the other key fob. - To exit programming mode, turn the key to lock position and remove it from the ignition. ... show more

First, this is a non-touring remote (key fob) that cannot trigger the seat reposition. Second, various sources claim that both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons must be pressed on the remote during programming. In my case, pressing the LOCK button only worked just fine. Finally, the steps need to performed in quick succession - do not make long (few seconds) pauses between steps. Prerequisites: * Make sure all doors are unlocked. * Keep the new remote in your left hand and all other remotes easily accessible. * Familiarize yourself with the MDX key positions (i) and (II) in the ignition - see the attached photo * Insert the car key into the ignition without turning. Within 6 seconds perform the following steps THREE times: 1. Turn the key to position (II) 2. Press the LOCK button on the new remote 3. Turn the key to position (I) Promptly, enter the programming mode: 4. Turn the key to position (II) 5. Press the LOCK button on the remote [Power doors should cycle (click) to confirm the system is in the programming mode] Within 10 seconds add one, two, or three remotes: 6. Press the LOCK button on each remote you want to add the car [Power doors should cycle (click) to confirm acceptance of each remote] Exit the programming mode: 7. Turn the key to position (I). 8.
