  • Honestly, it's hard to believe just how great this thing is.
This sort of power, at this kind of price, seemed hard to believe... But, after reading the great reviews, and seeing reviews online where it was proven that this thing actually DOES deliver the power that it claims, I decided I'd give it a try. I waited several months after purchase before writing my review, just to make sure that it wouldn't crap out on me after a few weeks/months. But, sure enough... it's been problem free, even with constant, hard use. It doesn't even break a sweat powering my 10" single, and that thing hits HARD and CLEAN with this amp. LPF works perfect, so the bass is nice and clean, and impactful. About the ONLY minor complaint I have is the speaker wire terminals. The wires can pull out if you tug too hard, so make sure to take it easy when positioning the amp, so that your wires don't pull out. Otherwise, this thing rocks. If I ever need to put another setup in another car, I'll be buying this amp again. (Nearly) 1 year update: Still going strong. Other than having the speaker wire work it's way loose (tightened it down MUCH better this time, it's held tight for the last several months), I haven't had a single issue with it. It powers my sub with ease, and barely even gets warm. (Nearly) 2 year update: Been almost two years since I installed it, and I haven't had a single issue. Still pushes my sub hard as it can go, and the amp barely even gets warm. This is a STELLAR amp for the money, and I would HIGHLY recommend it! ... show more

  • Cool amplifier
I have yet to push this amp hard enough to get it more than warm to the touch. I assumed this was another case of false advertising until I saw the video on Williston Audio (412w @ 4 ohm, 666w @ 2 ohm, 997w @1 ohm, 1997w dynamic @ .5 ohm). I found a great deal on some Black Diamond 12" subs so I ordered a pair and Q-Bomb box. Sounded great running them at 1 ohm (~500 watts each) but like any bass-head, I wanted more. So I ordered another ZE 1000.1 so I could push 650 watts to each. Installed a 2nd AGM battery, isolator, switched form 4 awg to 0 awg, had it all set to go, and the 2nd Amp wouldn't put out any sound. The power light was on, everything hooked up correctly. To be certain, I transferred all connections and fuses from the working ZE 1000.1 to the new one, and nothing. Asked for an exchange and a new amp arrived 2 days later. That one worked just fine and I think I'm finally happy with the funk coming out of my trunk. Of course, now I wish I could strap the amps and push the full 1000w RMS each speaker can handle. BUT, all I have to do to drown out the voices in my head telling me to go bigger is turn the volume up about 3/4's of the way until my eyeballs vibrate and I no longer feel the urge. Great amp, great customer service, still haven't managed to get them anywhere near "hot". I'm so thoroughly impressed by the quality of these amps that I'm not even taking away a star for receiving a dead unit. I don't think there's a better amp under $100. Not even close. *Follow up: 6 months in and the 2nd amp I purchased is shorting out and I don't know why. I transferred both amps over to my 2nd vehicle, and this one was pushing a Skar 12" @ 2 ohm just fine, until it wasn't. It blew all the fuses one day when I started the car and it keeps blowing fuses. Again, transferred all wiring from the working amp, fuses blew again. I popped the cover off, no obvious capacitor damage or anything broken. No magic smoke smell. I'm not sure what is causing the short. So, roll the dice if you're feeling lucky. Your amp may be running great almost 2 years later, or it might die in 6 months. ... show more

  • Legit power
After reading all of the good reviews. I decided to purchase this AMP to replace my old kicker 750.1. It's only been a few days since I installed, but maaaaan, let me tell you something. This AMP IS LEGIT. For the cheap price, this AMP feels solid, well made, and definitely pushes out the power it says it does. I went on youtube and found a few videos of people testing it, and 1000W RMS rating was legit. Again, it's only been a few days, but I'm loving this AMP. It's got some real power. ... show more

  • Amazing
For the price on this amp you get some absolute exceptional power. I am running two Skar audio 1200w each sv-12’s and it makes them hit harder than an actual skar amp. Stable at 1 ohm and puts out watts more than it is advertised and gives clean and consistent sound.

  • Impressed..... Not as impressed now. Not impressed at all.
I put together a little budget-bass setup for my 5th gen Camaro SS using this amp pushing two 10" woofers with dual 4ohm voice coils wired at 1ohm. The woofers are rated for 500watts each, and this amp is moving them pretty good. Build quality of the amp seems good, terminals are all solid, adjustments are functional but simple. So far I have nothing to complain about. I will report back if that changes, but until then add another good review for this budget amplifier that punches above its weight class for money spent. Update: Lasted barely enough to get the woofers broken in, it's now roast and it somehow took out my factory head unit. Wasn't even cranking it at the time. Moderate volume, just riding down the road and got some static in the speakers, then, pop, and smoke started coming from the dash. Got a replacement head unit installed last night, it all works but no bass. Voltage at turn on and power from Battery is fine, the three 35amp fuses in the amp were blown. Replaced them and as soon as the signal sent to turn it on it popped all three again. It has a dead short in it somewhere. Will try an exchange, but if that one doesn't last I will spend more money on something else. Was a good amp while it lasted. . I will update this review as things progress. Final Update, I hope you have better luck than I have with this amp. This one lasted a couple of months, not it clips out at about 25% volume, no bass Turn it down and bass comes back until I turn up the volume a little bit, wash, rinse, repeat. I'm cutting my losses with this thing. I liked it, it did a great job while it worked. It just didn't last. Will be spending a little more money on something that, hopefully, will last. ... show more

  • Awesome Amp,Awesome price sub standard wire connectors
This amp is fantastic, purchased it for my 2005 mustang to power the front 2-12in subwoofers (Hifonics 400 watt Rms, 800 watts max ea)in the thrunk the amp stays cool, will go 3/4 amp gain without clipping on my speakers. A fantastic amp for my purpose and definitely for the price! The ONLY reason in gets 4 stars is the way you connect the power, ground, remote and the speaker output! They are Allen key screws that tighten down on the bare wire, possibly the worst connector method ever! they come loose and of course disconnect. I think a nice simple screw and plate system like Blaupunkt, kicker and just about every amp out there uses would definitely gotten that 5th star from me. I just sodered solid Gauge copper wire to the end of the wire to make a good solid connection. Good amp, great bass a great purchase! ... show more

  • Loud and clean BASS!!!!
Update: amp is still going strong after 4 months. I have it hooked to two 15’ subwoofers now, and with the gain set at a quarter, you can hear me coming down the street- windows up or down! I still highly recommend this amp! Get it while it’s this cheap!! I’m buying another one! This amp hits so damn HARD, on two 12’ Kicker comp down fire subs!! I have the gain set low, no bass boost and the factory head unit bass settings all the way to max negative.. and it still slams! I highly recommend this amp. Now. One thing you have to make sure is the power and ground wire are secure. Because if not, they will wiggle themselves out from the bass vibration. Luckily,I had went back and caught it, and tightened them down with no more problems! ... show more

  • Dependability
This was a great purchase. It has my 2 12inch subs sounding great in my Buick Encore. Thinking about purchasing another for my Volkswagen Passat. I Haven't Had Any problems with overheating and this is a daily use system, the installation was simple and the appearance is nice considering it's size which was a plus. Cause I mounted it on the back portion of my rear seat. ... show more
