i love this especially in the morning. love the drink that it makes. easy to clean. this machine only accept the original pods so make sure to get those. my only problem is probably that once you put the pods, i have to wait a few seconds before you can press the option i want. second is i need a small cup to catch the espresso shots first because the height from the drip to the strainer is a little to small, my cup is somewhat big since i add milk on it. other than that this machine is all i could hope for. price is very reasonable as well.

To start with, and probably the most important thing, this made a very nice espresso shot from my Nespresso original capsule. You can see in the video and picture the deep brown color and the nice crema on top. The shot was well balanced and good taste, exactly what you would expect from these capsules. I got a closeup of the capsule as well so you can see the multiple insertion points to make sure the coffee is well soaked and water is evenly distributed. The machine is easy to use, just 3 buttons for whichever type of coffee you want - A shot, lungo, or Americano. It heats up fast, and as you can see in the video, expresses fast as well. This is great for the morning rush. As a benefit, when your done making your drink, the pod drops into a storage bin for easy and quick clean up. Its nice and compact so very easy to find space for it. For me this is important because I have a few coffee makers. Having a few may sound excessive, and probably is, but I like having a manual machine for when I have time to spend making my coffee, but I need an automatic machine like this for workday mornings when I just don't have the time to fool with griding, making and then all the cleanup afterward. Not only is it fast, cleanup is easy, but the coffee tastes good, I don't have to worry about sacrificing quality for speed! The water tank is 1L meaning you can make about 5 cups of coffee (Americano) or something like 20 shots before having to refill (though its recommended to start with fresh water each day). As far as what water to use is a little unclear, it says use pure drinking water. I took this to mean bottled water. I used spring (not distilled), which I prefer anyway to get a clean tasting cup without what might come out of your tap. I am sure filtered tap water would be fine as well. This is important though as I don't see a filter in the tank like you'll see on some other machines. The instructions say you can customize how much water each drink uses, but for me the pre-program size was just fine. You do have the option though if you wish. This goes right into the instructions, so many of the devices I've looked at have poor or unclear instructions. The instruction booklet provided gives just what you need in a good organized layout and clear pictures and detail. I know this sounds trivial but this was really refreshing since I've seen so many bad ones. For the price and quality this is a great value and something I will use often. Very happy with the machine so far!

I picked up this capsule espresso machine expecting a basic coffee maker, but after spending time with it, I found it performs better than I anticipated for an entry-level espresso system. Photo 1: Commercial dark-roast capsule crema. Photo 2: Commercial dark-roast capsule crema close-up.

Video: Extraction and crema development during brewing. As someone who roasts coffee, I included these photos to show how the machine performed with different roast levels. Using refillable aluminum capsules compatible with this machine, I found that both lighter and slightly darker roasts produced good extraction and visible crema, although the darker roast generated a somewhat thicker crema layer. These results gave me confidence that the machine can work well with a variety of coffee profiles rather than being limited to dark commercial capsules. The first thing I noticed was the size. The machine has a clean appearance and doesn't take up much counter space. The water reservoir is easy to remove and refill, and the machine includes a few thoughtful features such as a low-water warning. If the reservoir runs dry, the unit beeps to let me know. It also powers itself off after eight minutes of inactivity. Operation is extremely simple. With the press of a button, the machine automatically prepares an Espresso, Lungo, or Americano. Once the brewing cycle is complete, the machine beeps to let me know my drink is ready. For people who want coffee without the workflow of a traditional espresso setup, the convenience is hard to beat. There is no grinder to adjust, no dosing, no tamping, and no portafilter to clean afterward. Being curious about the machine's actual performance, I measured both output weights and extraction times. My results were: Espresso: 38 grams output in approximately 15 seconds Lungo: 125 grams output in approximately 35 seconds Americano: 202 grams output in approximately 55 seconds I also measured the water temperature during extraction directly from the nozzle and recorded a peak temperature of approximately 185°F. While this is not a machine intended to compete with higher-end semi-automatic espresso equipment, I found the extraction consistent from cup to cup. The machine produced a visible crema layer and delivered a surprisingly full-bodied cup considering the small amount of coffee used in each capsule. My only improvements involve cup clearance and the lack of water temperature adjustment. The machine can produce an Americano large enough to fill a standard coffee mug, but my 10-ounce mug would not fit under the spout with the drip tray installed. I had to remove the cup stand to make it work. Since the machine includes an Americano setting, I think additional clearance for larger mugs would make the design more practical. I also would have liked the option to adjust the brewing temperature. While the measured brewing temperature was adequate, I personally prefer hotter coffee and would have liked a higher-temperature option. As with any capsule machine, I give up some control over extraction variables compared to a traditional espresso machine. However, that tradeoff is balanced by speed, simplicity, and consistency. The thermoblock heating system reaches brewing temperature almost immediately, making it easy to prepare a cup without waiting for a boiler to heat up. Overall, my experience has been positive. This machine isn't trying to replace a dedicated espresso setup, but for an entry-level capsule espresso machine. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple and convenient way to enjoy espresso-based drinks at home.

I was highly impressed with this little capsule espresso machine. I wasn't sure what to expect but I used Nespresso original capsules and got a rich cup of espresso with a nice cream on top. The size is great. It is very compact and fit easily next to my Ninja coffee maker. One of the cool features is that once your espresso is done, you lift the lid and the pod is dropped into a collection bin to be disposed of later. It looks like it will hold quite a few before you need to dump it. The machine pierces the pod in several areas making sure the water is evenly dispersed over the grounds. This could not be more simple. You just plug it in. There is no on/off switch. You simply insert your pod and chose one of the 3 settings, that is it. Espresso, Lungo or Americana. I love this for a quick espresso shot in the morning to get me going! It is built well, comes with clear directions and is a fair price.

I am no espresso aficionado…I wouldn’t know how to even begin to use a complicated espresso machine. So when I saw this I thought it was something I could handle. 😂 I was right! This is a great little - truly it’s little - machine! It’s so easy to operate! It uses the original napresso pods, my sons both have that machine so I at least knew what those were! It takes up very little countertop space too. It has three choices, you just pop your little pod in, make your choice and when it’s finished you lift the lid again and it drops the used pod in a little hidden container that you just pull out and empty when it gets full! Easy peasy! It doesn’t keep dripping when it’s finished either! It doesn’t take long to make your cup, it heats the water instantly! I have latte now whenever I want it! I love this little machine!! Highly recommend it!
