Description

The Capri Tools 3/8 in. Drive Shallow, Semi-Deep and Deep Impact Socket Set is a collection of most frequently used 3/8 in. drive impact sockets in metric sizes. We use premium Chrome Molybdenum steel tempered with our proprietary heat treatment process to make these impact sockets and accessories. They are durable and specifically made to withstand high torque from power tools. Each item is expertly coated with manganese phosphate, the preferred coating in military and aerospace, which offers superior protection and corrosion resistance compared to black oxide coating on other impact sockets. The 6-point WaveDrive design grips fasteners more tightly than traditional design, preventing fastener rounding and giving you more leverage. Meets and exceeds ASME B107.110 standards. 55-piece set includes (17) 3/8 in. drive shallow impact sockets, (17) 3/8 in. drive semi-deep impact sockets, and (17) 3/8 in. drive deep impact sockets in the following sizes : 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 mm, (3) 3/8 in. drive impact wobble extension bars: 3, 6, 12 in., and (1) 3/8 in. drive impact universal joint. What I received- I received the sockets, extensions, swivel and foam holder. It was nice to see and inspect each socket as i placed them into the foam which was a slightly tight fit but just enough that when all the sockets are in place you can easily pull out a socket without concern that you will pick up the tray. Yet they are firm enough that when picking up the tray I was not concerned the sockets would fall out. Functionality- The socket set is great, having sizes from 8mm to 24 mm is perfect for working on most machinery and vehicles built today and having double or in this case triples of a size you can put a socket on a wrench to hold one side of a bolt and then a socket on the impact to loosen or tighten the fastener. I immediately put it to use finishing the install of the 4l80 in my truck and having the impact extensions and and wobble extension was invaluable for getting the top bolts of the transmission tightened. Takeaways - If you're looking a for a great set of sockets at a reasonably price for working on anything this is the set you should buy. I have many of socket sets but I know I will reach for this one first. 3/8" drive is my go-to size for most of my impacts and ratchets and most every piece of equipment uses a metric fastener. I highly suggest this set and look forward to Capri coming out with an equivalent SAE set. ... show more

Been using these for a few weeks and they are my go to sockets. They have every size I would ever need in 3/8 drive and the range in sizes really helps. Only issue is the swivel is starting to get hard to turn but for the price of the set, the warranty, and how many sockets you get, it’s a great set that I would recommend to anyone. ... show more

Had for 2 months now use it every day at work with no problems. Quality of the foam is great but by no means as nice as snap on foam. Sockets are all true to size and fit with out issue. The price point is amazing at 200 bucks vs snap on 1800 and snap on doesn’t even include wobbling extension. I’m very happy with this purchase and I’m now planning to check out some more Capri tools to update my home tool box. ... show more
