I was worried when I bought these (I got 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50) because the reviews had some pretty bad experiences. Even the quality of the weights were deformed, etc., but mine were flawless. I mean these are really cheap dumbbells for what you get, and I mean almost half the price. I got these during Black Friday so it was bit cheaper too but still these would be a good buy without that extra discount. The handle feels good. I originally wanted to get REP dumbbells which is a straight knurled handle but these ergonomic ones are really comfortable, especially when using the heavier ones. There isn't much of a smell. If you are in a closed bedroom made to be a gym I imagine the smell would be worse but I keep these in my garage so it's fairly minimal. I've used these for about a month every weekday and I'm really impressed. I'm hard on them too because I drop them between sets and they've held up. I definitely recommend these. Items (60lb x2) arrived fast. Clean, expected shape, coating smells no more than usual. Would not keep them in the bedroom for 1-2 months due to smell. Perfect for a garage. Smell eventually wears off. Weight as expected. Nicely made. Hard to break unless you try :)

I got these on sale for black Friday. I bought 25s, 40s and 60s. They are well constructed and solid. The 25s and 40s were packed with foam protection and the boxes all came in one piece. The 60s however were not very well packaged and by the time they got here the boxes were completely mangled with huge holes and you could tell they were re-taped by ups just to hold them together. If they would've had the foam protection like the smaller weights the boxes would've held up much better but all the weights arrived with no damage so overall I'm completely happy and will buy more if they go on sale again. ... show more
