You wouldn't expect something this heavy to survive a trip anywhere without damage to something. Both 50 lb plates arrived with zero damage to either themselves or the boxes. WELL packaged and double boxed and wrapped in protective packaging materials. Wish everyone packaged things up this well. It will be awhile before I can lift 100+ lbs so these will be used separately for various exercises along the way. I am just restarting weight lifting so I am only using the lighter weights for now. I am a little under 300 lbs total for plates so I am set for improving little by little. Any guests will have a variety of weights to lift here too. Paired with adjustable dumb bells I now have an ideal setup for any exercises I will be doing. I love grip plates for this reason as you can use them for other exercises other than just on a barbell. These plates appear well made. Grip areas are a nice handful and secure so long as your grip is. These would hurt if you don't. Plates this size are HORRIBLY expensive and these two were some of the most reasonable priced ones I have seen both locally and online. If you want to elevate your gym experience these are the plates and the company you want to build from.

Let’s start with the packaging; each weight was individually bagged and wrapped in shipping foam. The four weights were in a very solid shipping carton which in turn was inside another very solid shipping container . . . Results were perfect, no shipping issues. I read a myriad of other reviews that listed various issues with the weights. I had no such experience. Weights were fine; no sharp edges, fit my Z bar, straight bench press bar and various dumbbell bars perfectly! For the price, great buy!

I bought the 2.5lb 4-pack to use as a door weight for a patio door. As such they're outside 24 hours a day, in all-year weather. To my memory, there was already some clear finish applied by the manufacturer, but I layered them with a number of clear coats myself to prevent any rusting. Still holding up nicely after 1 year. I assume they'd be nice in a home gym, too.
