Very good for the prices! I use it for training clients and they love it, the weights fit right on it, it’s about 50lbs by its self. There were some minor scratches on it but that’s going to happen the more I use it. I can cover them up with spay paint, no big deal. The most annoying part was all the tiny pieces of styrofoam in the box, but again no big deal.

My husband loves it, he finds it to be well made and solid. He typically deadlifts 600+ pounds and he thinks this would hold up to that standard. It’s rated to 750. They also weigh more than a standard bar so you won’t need to add as much weight. Something to take into consideration when doing gym math. Unfortunately it arrived late, after his birthday which was disappointing. He has really wide shoulders for his body, so it will work for him. My shoulders aren’t as wide and I feel my hands are too far out wheni hold the handles which is uncomfortable for my shoulders. This is why I don’t really use these (all of them are like this). They just don’t work with my body mechanics . I bought it more for him though.

This is a really solid trap bar. Great weight, but also compact, which is what I wanted. Super sturdy and the handles are aligned right. It came with plastic end caps, but I had no trouble pulling these off. My only complaint is the knurling. Usually I find aggressive knurling to be a good thing, but this is almost like sandpaper. Really hard on the hands if you’re doing deadlifts with heavy weight. And then if you’re using straps, it’s really difficult to get them tight around the bar because there’s so much friction with the knurling that you can’t pull the straps tight. I had to buy some wrist wraps with weightlifting hooks because of this. Otherwise a great bar.

It works. It’s not perfect but I’m happy with it for the price. The sleeves are too short to add much weight. If you have bumpers you can get about 315 lbs. With iron plates I could get 525. That’s going to be fine for a majority of people but strength athletes would probably need something else. The high handles and weight distribution make it much easier than a conventional deadlift so it just can’t be loaded heavy enough for me to get much use out of it. My gym members definitely will though. The high handles are great for my older clientele or those with mobility issues so they can safely pull from the floor. The bar came with some of the paint chipped off. It doesn’t bother me and fits the aesthetic of my gym just fine, but others might be disappointed. The weld is slightly off. One of the handles is welded at a slightly oblique angle. I didn’t notice when I used it and only found out when a welder at my gym pointed it out. The knurling is super aggressive. I personally like it but my newer gym members who don’t have thick callouses complain every time. I tell them their hands will toughen up just like they will and to keep using it haha. Overall, it works. It’s not amazing but is right for the price.

For the price, it's great. Solid, decent knurling (could be more aggressive), and does what it needs to do. The bar ends were damaged as expected from the poor handling during transit. There are protectors, but they were in the box and not on the bar ends. What's the point of that? Still, good purchase overall.

I bought the chrome version with the raised grip. Packaging was terrible. Several holes in the box and yes the polystyrene balls get all over the place but I unpacked it outside. The bar itself wasn’t damaged and it isn’t a work of art but it’s absolutely fine. I’m a 60 year old woman 5’7” and 135 lbs and I have small hands. I have a home gym that I share from time to time with my 6’3 250lb son who regularly lifts at a commercial gym. I struggle with the men’s Olympic barbell because I find it too thick and cumbersome. I’m delighted with this trap bar. I was anticipating having to wear gloves as several reviewers mentioned a rough grip but this one is fine. I feel much more confident with this trap bar and it’s so much better for my lower back. The bar even got my son’s seal of approval too. He thought it was definitely worth it for the price.

Exactly what I needed. What you see is what you get. Solid construction, good weight. This has been an incredible addition to my home gym equipment. Can’t beat the cost either for what you’re getting. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a trap bar. Could find anything close to this locally and I live in a major metro area.
