I was hoping for the best with this. I saw ones a little cheaper that needed to be assembled and i was worried about having room inside the bar for deadlifts. This one is absolutely perfect. This is a really solid trap bar. Great weight, but also compact, which is what I wanted. Super sturdy and the handles are aligned right. It came with plastic end caps, but I had no trouble pulling these off. My only complaint is the knurling. Usually I find aggressive knurling to be a good thing, but this is almost like sandpaper. Really hard on the hands if you’re doing deadlifts with heavy weight. And then if you’re using straps, it’s really difficult to get them tight around the bar because there’s so much friction with the knurling that you can’t pull the straps tight. I had to buy some wrist wraps with weightlifting hooks because of this. Otherwise a great bar. ... show more

Great bar for the price! I read the reviews before purchasing, and was a little hesitant. While the box was a bit wrecked upon arrival, the important part, "the bar" was in perfect shape. Because of this i gave it 5 stars. My only reservations are 1. The styrofoam was torn to bits inside the box. You may want to open the box outdoors. A vacuum cleaned the carpet but getting them off the bar was a challenge. Static electricity kept pulling the styrofoam bits to the bar. 2. The clips to hold the weight plates in place were not included. Other than those 2 negatives, Excellent purchase! ... show more

My husband loves it, he finds it to be well made and solid. He typically deadlifts 600+ pounds and he thinks this would hold up to that standard. It’s rated to 750. They also weigh more than a standard bar so you won’t need to add as much weight. Something to take into consideration when doing gym math. Unfortunately it arrived late, after his birthday which was disappointing. He has really wide shoulders for his body, so it will work for him. My shoulders aren’t as wide and I feel my hands are too far out wheni hold the handles which is uncomfortable for my shoulders. This is why I don’t really use these (all of them are like this). They just don’t work with my body mechanics . I bought it more for him though. ... show more
