  • CAP is the standard
CAP prices cannot be beat, this thing is surprising for the price. Holds all my "smaller than 45lb" plates without issue, but this stand would be a pain in the ass if I didn't have other storage for my 45lb plates. The poles are too close together, it would be unable to hold 45lb, 35lb, and 25lb plates all at the same time. But again, this is a non-issue for me because I keep the 45s elsewhere. ... show more

  • Best bang for buck
Works well. No need to spend more money for another one.

  • Holds my few hundred pounds of plate weight safely...
Works as described. I've got over four hundred pounds on it regularly and it does the job.

  • You get what you buy...
The rack itself is pretty sturdy but once you load it up all the way, you can see the metal bending and bouncing when you take plates off.

  • Quick, easy and holds the weight
This plate rack was number 3 of trial and error. Not to say that I am picky ( I am), but the rack needed to do primarily three things; save space, build completely, and hold the weight. This rack did all three perfectly, here is why: This rack has a flat profile fitting on the floor along a wall in limited space. Not triangular, not round, nothing hanging in the way. I have 280lbs on this rack that fits perfectly and holds the weight very well. This rack is only THREE pieces, two feet and the primary rack angle. Bolts through the feet into the rack, and done (maybe five minutes build time total from opening the box to disposing the box in the recycling). Unlike many other racks, the weight holder arms are welded to the frame, not screwed on in some less than desirable fashion that sags under the weight is supposed to hold (reason #2 why 2 other racks were returned). Last but not least, profile. I needed this rack to hold weight out from behind my bench area due to limited space. This rack has flat profile with a lot of storage room for plates of all sizes. I recommend roughly 260-280lbs for this rack and you will have no issues. With the flat profile, I have set it on the floor next to my wall between two dumbbell stands. I have plenty of space to take plates off and on the rack without bumping everything on and around the rack. This rack cost a couple of dollars more than the two I returned, but worth every penny, and I should have gone with it from the start. This rack is perfect for me in my space available, I think you will like it as well. I recommend this weight rack. ... show more

  • Good quality and a decent price
This definitely helps to keep weights organized and off the ground. Switching out plates is much faster now.

  • Variable tolerances on the size of plate it can hold
I got one of these about four years ago and I love it, so I decided to get a second one since apparently I have to duplicate my entire garage setup in my spare room due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (that made no sense... I meant I use my garage setup sometimes when the weather is tolerable, which is about four days a year, and the rest of the time I use a public facility, which is obviously off the table at this point.) It came quickly enough and was packaged sturdily enough. I don't think the other one had anti-slip locking nuts, so that was a bit of a surprise for me and I wasn't prepared with the right tools and didn't want to dig around. A normal adjustable wrench was easy enough to use and I got it set up. It seems a bit ricketier than the one from four years ago, but that seems to be the way of every single thing you buy these days. Just plan on having to replace whatever widget every two years or so. What I didn't like about it was that on my old one, I can easily place 35 pound Weider Olympic plates on the bottom upright. It's a somewhat tight fight, but not difficult to put on and take off. So I didn't even consider that it would be absolutely, totally and in all other ways impossible to put them on the new one. I managed with great difficulty to get *one* on, while scratching up my nice new paint job, but there was literally no way to place the second one. So I gave up. But then, getting the first one off was impossible too. I'm a reasonably strong human, and it was just not moving! Finally with the assistance of another smaller person we were able to remove it, but I was sincerely nonplussed to not have that space available as I expected. All in all, they aren't that great for bumper plates either. I used to keep a pair of 45s on one side and a pair of 25s and pair of 15s on the opposite, and the 10 pounders just had to sit beside the rack. Standard gray CAP Olympic plates probably are the best thing to store on this. ... show more
