I really like how thick these are. My 5 lb pair from another company are not just shorter than this 10 lb pair but they are not as thick in diameter. These are much more comfortable to hold since they naturally fit in your hands better than traditional ones which are narrower. I love the neoprene grip. They don't do and are comfortable to hold. The price is great and so is the quality. I love being able to purchase the weight I need. I add weight slowly as to not overdo it with my shoulders since I've had shoulder surgery in the past. Going from 8 to 9 lbs adds a challenge but didn't add the strain. The package arrived intact with a sticker saying heavy item, weights. The weights were packed well and in good condition. You have to put the plastic weight holder together.
