The media could not be loaded. Bought this pair of 5lb dumbbells (also bought the 15lb pair). No fuss, just gains! The 5lb pair is comfortable to hold with its smooth handle. It doesn’t have the rough grip on the handle like the 15lb pair, probably because you don’t need the extra grip for lighter weights. They are good size for storing away, and are a good deal at less than $2/lb. All the weights these days have some type of prop 65 warning, which is super annoying. I figured cast iron might be less toxic than all the rubbery type weights, but I have no idea. ... show more

They were perfect upgrade for what I needed for my 10 pound weights. It is very small and compacted well-made and well last a while. What a joke. First dumbell they sent me had a handle that had broken loose from the weight. Then they send me a replacement in a different color so I returned that one. Then they send me a 3rd one that is absolute garbage. Once again, the wrong color, and now this one has dings, chips, pits, holes, and some sticky brown crap all over it. ... show more

All my other hand weights are this style from 5lbs. on up to 30lbs. I didn't know they made 8lb. so I bought them for toning exercises in between 5 and10lb. They came shipped with stiff foam on each end in a sturdy box, the quality of the weights leaves a bit to be desired. They don't have the diamond pattern non slip imprint in the steel on the hand grips on these like my other ones do, if my hands are sweating I can't grip them firmly without gloves on. These type of weights will last forever, worth the money for sure, but you are going to need to file down a few tiny sharp nibs here and there, which isn't difficult. Way better than the colored neoprene ones that the color discolors your hands and floor. ... show more
