The media could not be loaded. This lens is the perfect combo for the R5C. You, videographers and photographers, should try it.

The optical quality and performance of this glass is outstanding. I own the previous EF version as well and this is simply a better lens -- and that one is no slouch. Unlike its larger-aperture cousin its light and small enough to not be ridiculous when carrying it around on the camera; yes, the (much) more expensive version does have one more stop of light-gathering, but at commensurate cost in both money and mass. If you need it then you do, but for non-moving subjects, unless you want the bokeah of the larger-aperture the IS (which does an excellent job of compensating for "you" shake but cannot do anything to stop the motion of the subject) means you probably don't. This is a fantastic lens for the price. Images are very sharp and colors are accurate. I haven't noticed any issues with this lens and the reach that it has makes for a great all arounder. Highly recommended for photographers who want to step up their game. I paired it with an R8 and they work great together for a very reasonably priced full framed mirrorless setup. ... show more
