The optical quality and performance of this glass is outstanding. I own the previous EF version as well and this is simply a better lens -- and that one is no slouch. Unlike its larger-aperture cousin its light and small enough to not be ridiculous when carrying it around on the camera; yes, the (much) more expensive version does have one more stop of light-gathering, but at commensurate cost in both money and mass. If you need it then you do, but for non-moving subjects, unless you want the bokeah of the larger-aperture the IS (which does an excellent job of compensating for "you" shake but cannot do anything to stop the motion of the subject) means you probably don't.     • Great image quality and fast focus speed
What i liked most about this lens was the high quality of the images it produces at any focal leng, great files using it with our canon R3 and R5, also is one of the canon lens that has incredible focus speed and accuracy. The stabilizer is so good and more if it is combined with canon IBIS.

This is a fantastic lens for the price. Images are very sharp and colors are accurate. I haven't noticed any issues with this lens and the reach that it has makes for a great all arounder.
