Must have this adapter for Powershot V1 external flash. To my knowledge it is the only compatible shoe adapter. It goes on and off easily and is sturdy in place. I love the locking feature. I have paired it with 3 different off brand flashes and all work well on the adapter.

I use this on my R6 M2 with older Canon flash units and pro light triggers. It works great with my equipment. It also waterproofs the R6 shoe in wet weather

Works exactly as expected on my Canon R50. I bought the AD-E1 so I could continue using my older Canon Speedlite flashes, and setup was super easy. The connection feels solid and secure, with no looseness or communication issues. TTL and flash triggering worked perfectly right away, and I appreciate that Canon kept the weather sealing design intact. It’s a small accessory, but honestly essential if you’re moving to newer Canon cameras with the multi-function shoe and still want to use existing flash gear.
