🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Canon Rebel T7 camera and its accessories are a mixed bag, with high-quality photo capabilities and an adequate accessories package, but with some drawbacks. The T7 is praised for capturing exceptional photos, being reliable, and easy to handle for beginners or older demographic. However, the tripod accessory can be unreliable and easy to break, and some users think the T7 is quite heavy and lacks certain modern features compared to its competitors.

Pros

  • 📸 Canon Rebel T7 offers great picture quality.
  • 🧳 Package includes good number of accessories.
  • 👌 Suitable for beginners and those transitioning from film cameras.

Cons

  • 🌀 The tripod, an accessory in the package, is weak and unreliable.
  • 💪 Camera might feel heavy for some users.
  • ⌛ Lacks modern features compared to other models like a touch screen, external mic input, or 4K video quality.

Should I Buy It?

If you're a beginner or transitioning from film cameras, or if weight and advanced capabilities aren't a big concern for you, the Canon Rebel T7 could be a good match. However, if you're looking for a camera with advanced modern features, a lighter weight, or a reliable tripod, you might want to explore other models.

  • Quick ship, bundle--awesome, pretty great seller
I love this camera. Let me explain. I am 60 years old and in the 1970's, as a kid, an uncle got me into 35mm. Cameras. I took perhaps thousands of pictures with that vivitar. I got older, children came and I got a point and shoot to capture them in those few seconds of adorable behavior. Fast forward to my daughter, perhaps the same age as I was with the vivitar, wanting to take pictures. You could buy film at that time. I taught her everything my uncle taught me and she picked things up on her own. It hit me one day how differently we look at things with just our eyes or behind the camera. With this camera, old barns intrigue me, docks over water, almost anything that didn't catch my eye now caught everything with a "photographers" eye!!! It's amazing. I need to admit, there is a learning curve with the digital over my 35mm Vivitar. I was used to setting everything myself but this new camera is like a helpful little assistant. IDK good or bad? It is what it is. (I'm pretty computer ignorant, etc, so that's what I'm working with here). So my package is from 33 Street Camera and they are very nice. Soon after getting my delivery, I wrote them to say I had wished I'd gotten a different bundle. ( but I wasnt willing to send this bundle back) I was answered immediately and they said I could even call them for help. I haven't called but found a lens that I want and am asking their opinion. Hopefully they answer soon and I can order it and be happy.....at least until i decide i need a zoom lens! The box got some rough handling through the mail, but everything was boxed inside too, so no problems. I did contact the seller since i felt he needed to know how his product was shipped. He replied that i should check things over very carefully and let him/her know if there was a problem so it could be taken care of ASAP. How kind!!! So, thank you, 33 Street Camera and others feel safe to purchase through this seller. Shirley EDIT: seller responded via email before I was finished with this review, verifying that my choice of another lens was a good one! Thank you! I feel confident in recommending this seller to you. I have purchased several items by now and they seem to take good care of their customers. ... show more

  • Love it! Going strong for over a year
I’ve used this set up semi professionally just about daily for like a year and a half plus now. I did get extra batteries and charger thought he original is still strong. The tripod is meh and the filters aside from the UV filter which is kind of a throw away filter no matter where you buy it but all the other filters suck. I went and bought different ones which are way way better and look worlds better in post edit. The bag and strap are nice though I don’t use them so I can’t speak on their quality over time and use. The external flash is kind of garbage it’ll work for a little bit then stops or breaks (mine did both). The fish eye/macro lenses look decent enough but I never use them and have no plans to so I can’t speak on them. Memory cards work as they should I got more after but I shoot a lot of photos constantly. I’d have to say if you’re looking for a kit to use at family outings and such not a bad buy. If you’re looking to get into photography it might serve you better to price out your own kit even if the cost is a lil more because you’ll spend it twice between buying this kit and then replacing half of it to get better quality stuff though that’s the name of the game I guess. All in all it’s a good camera and has taken my abuse well and I’ve been way harder in it than most people ever will be it’s entire life. ... show more

  • Great for beginners
Bang for your buck! Between the camera and all the accessories that come with it, it's a great starter kit for those of us who are beginners. Only one thing I ended up purchasing separately was a card reader since the one that came in the box for some reason the SD card wouldn't fit. I recommend getting on youtube to see how to update the firmware since Canon wasn't very good about explaining putting the update on the SD card or formatting the SD card in the camera. Very happy with just about everything that came with the camera and lots of learning! ... show more

  • Great Bundle!
It is the best bang for your buck. Includes extra battery, 2 32gb memory stick, external flash, two extra tele and wide angle lenses, filters, ...... I started with Canon T50 35mm film camera more than 30 years ago and now have a PowerShot SD 750 and now bought this. Canon is the best value for beginners although you can buy professional cameras from other brands but if you want to shoot simple, nice family or picnic photos this is the best choice. This seller has good reviews. I had a question about the package and they answered me quickly and professionally. You won't get disappointed. ... show more

  • Good for beginners
I’ve had my Rebel T7 for a few weeks and I really enjoy it. The camera quality is amazing. I thought this kit would be great for beginners. It is as it includes a lot of accessories. However, as I’ve played around with them I’ve learned I probably won’t be using most of them. The filters don’t work that well. The tripod is very cheap and unstable. The VIVITAR wide lens and telephoto lens attachment feel really nice, but don’t work as well as I was hoping. It doesn’t widen your zoom in that much further than the capability of the lens that comes with this camera. Quite frankly, I think I would’ve been better off purchasing the $550 bundle I have seen here on Amazon and saving myself $100. That bundle I’ve seen comes with a real canon telephoto lens too. Although I don’t think I’ll be using these accessories, someone else might. I am just speaking from personal preference I don’t see myself using all of that stuff for my purpose of photography. It was fun to receive the items and think of all the different things you could do with the accessories though. It is worth a shot. ... show more
