  • SD Card Became Corrupted and the Camera Crashed.
I researched the internet for the best entry DSLR camera. The majority of the experts recommended this product. After using it, I have to agree. . It is not the ultimate with all the "bells and whistles." For most non-professional users, this will accomplish 90% of all your photography needs. At an affordable price, the product is hard to beat. I was able to purchase mine for $210 via an Amazon third party seller. It was USED with 17 shots. . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- . UPDATE: After two years of little usage, the camera went dead in a middle of a shoot. The screen went black. The viewer flashed BUSY. Nothing worked. . So, I recharged the battery and played with the controls. The problems remained. . With much money invested in lens, flashers, and other accessories, I had no choice. Buy a replacement T100 body on eBay. . A few days later, I viewed some YOUTUBE videos on Canon camera issues and repair. One suggested cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol with Q tips. In the middle of the presentation, the narrator related an identical problem as mine. He solved it by reformatting the SD card. In response, I tried it, and the problem disappeared. . Apparently, the SD card was corrupted. The software problem crashed the camera's computer system and rendered everything useless. Such an issue was never mentioned in the user manual. . This undocumented problem cost me $176; for I purchased an unneeded camera body, which was not returnable. My only consolation was not going to a professional camera shop and request repair work. The standard diagnostic charge was $110 in Seattle. ... show more

I cannot express this enough, if you are a beginner like I am, this is the camera for you, it might just look like a cheap no good camera, I thought the same as well, but when I thaught myself how to use it, it did wonders.
